I forgot to mention my overflows. I decided to run the Durso standpipe for my drains. I did some research and this seemed like the best option for the way my tank was drilled. I then ran my returns with PVC and locline out of the overflow into the tank. I made my own and it was super easy. You can find how to do it really easily at dursostandpipes.com. So far they are silent and running very well.

So after it was all plumbed together I had to start to fill it with water. I did this with just fresh RO water and ran it for about a day to make sure there were no leaks and it all checked out so I drained the water.

Yah it took some convincing but I eventually won the battle.

So next up I worked on my plumbing. I decided to go with flexible PVC because I heard good things about it and figured it would be easier to install with out having to make sure everything was perfect and glueing all thous joints together. Well everyone was right. I really enjoyed working with this stuff and would absolutely work with it again. Under the tank shot. The two lines that T together are my returns the other two are my drains. Coming into my now fish room. How the hoses go to and from the sump!

Sorry it has been awhile since I posted on this I am going to try and be diligent in getting it up to speed.

Thought I would report everything is fine with my chromis. He is back to normal ever since I added my two new clowns from Dave. (barelycuda) I think he was constipated and lonely. HAHA. I just hope he is not to good and picking on my clowns because it has been two days and my clowns have not eaten yet.

I just paid my dues and became a paid member! I have only been here a couple weeks and absolutely love everything about this site. I have made two trips up North one to Garrett's (The Premium Aquarium) and one to Dave's. (The Clown House) I can't say enough about how great they both were to deal with. I will absolutely do all the business I can with both of them again. I thank all of the members at this site for giving me the information to get into contact with both of them. I have been a little busy and plan to finish up my build thread and start posting some pictures of my new arrivals. Thanks again PNWMAS!!

Its already gone! He looks fine again clean as a whistle. Maybe he was constipated and he has hemroids!(laugh) Still not active but the red thing protruding is gone. I really hope he is ok.

I just noticed this coming out of my chromis. He has been acting weird and does not seem to want to eat. He is just hanging out mid water column and not swimming much.

I am curious what this is? They are all over my glass and overflows. I clean my glass and the next day I have 20 more on my glass. There must be 500 on my overflows. They don't look like aiptasia or majanos to me but I have never seen a baby specimen.

Deal! That is exactly the type of things I want to do!

Whatever ends up being my best option I guess. I am open to either.

Ok guys I am making a trip to Portland tomorrow to go to the Clown House from Roseburg so I have quite a drive and want to make the most of it! So I was wondering what you guys recommend I do along the way! I also would really like to pic up a zoa frag and some more cuc! Help me out.

Tomorrow! I think I am going alone so I will try to make the most of it and see what else I can do while I am up in the area! Maybe somebody will have a sweet frag I can pick up! Gonna have to be a zoo though because I don't think my tank is mature enough for anything else! It's only 5 weeks along

So I talked my wife into letting me go to the clown house (dave's or barelycuda's)!! I am totally pumped and can't wait. I am going to pick up a pair of piccaso's! Just thought I would share how excited I am. It is three hours one way for me. so I have a bit of a drive but hearing he has over 2000 clowns I am sure it is going to be well worth the drive!

I just set up my tank a month ago and have not experienced sweating windows where my display is. Although in my fish room where my sump and water changing station is I have a bathroom fan installed. I turned it off by mistake and became oblivious to it for two days and my ceiling in the fish room was literally raining on me when I walked into it. I won't make that mistake again.

Being a very new member I would like to comment on this. First off I have been into reefing for close to two years even though I just got my tank set up about a month ago. I was on RC and thought I was the only reefer in the state of Oregon. lol. I knew there was more of you guys since Aqua Serene in Eugene has a lot of corals I had to figure someone was buying them. When I asked before if there were any local clubs I always heard no. I discovered this site through impur who I happened to run across of RC and saw that he was from Oregon and he gave me this site. Since that time I almost exclusively use this site even though I am a paid member on RC. I will be joining PNWMAS in January. I am very used to the drama on forums and kind of think it is part of the fun. This site will never have the drama that RC has so I am thankful for that. I can say that I am extremely impressed with the responses I get and how helpful everyone is on this site for how few of members we have. I have asked the exact same question on RC and got 3 responses here before I ever got 1 there. So on a end note the club is amazing but would be nice to have more plublicity. I like the banner at the stores that support the club idea and facebook is a great idea. I suppose more info on RC about our club would be great. I have looked for a local club there before and didin't see pnwmas on there that I can remember. Maybe I saw PNW and just figured Seattle. (scratch) Thanks for listening to the rant. Since I live three hours south of him will he ship? Or do you guys think it would be better to wait and plan a trip and go up there in person?
