  1. Hornets have an alternating skirt, these don't look like they have that.
  2. I don't really want to cover the tank, because then I can't see in. Will he ever get used to his reflection, or will he always fight with it.
  3. I soaked my aiptasia and hair algae covered rock in pure vinegar over night then rinsed it with boiling water. Over kill I know, but it worked.
  4. I don't normally like chalice, but I love this one. Really nice coral! Put me on the list
  5. Maybe you have coral that is extra tasty haha. There is really no way to know.
  6. No angel is reef safe, especially with zoas. Sometimes an angel will be a model citizen for months and then all of a sudden start picking at your corals for no reason.
  7. Its a male Lennard's Wrasse, they sell for around $800 and need water temps in the low 70s high 60s.
  8. I have had my melanurus wrasse for a few weeks now and he has been awesome. Two days ago I did a water change and cleaned the glass like I do every week. I also replaced my carbon and gfo. Ever since then my wrasse has been fighting with his reflection non stop. He just swims back and forth next to the front glass with his fins flared out and every 10 seconds or so he will attack his reflection which blasts sand all over my coral. He doesn't even eat, he is too busy with his reflection. Why did he all of a sudden start this and is there anything I can do to stop it?
  9. I have a 180 gallon I am slowly setting up, hopefully it will be up before my clam grows too big.
  10. I have a derasa clam, so it grows way bigger and faster than maximas. I'm a little worried about it outgrowing my tank since they can grow to a couple feet in length. Sent from my DROIDX using Tapatalk
  11. My clam has grown 2 inches since december with no feedings. Sent from my DROIDX using Tapatalk
  12. I use the pre-made water from westside and the salt he uses is the new kent reef salt. I really really like it. With weekly water changes I don't have to dose anything. Sent from my DROIDX using Tapatalk

  14. You're lucky that didn't mess up the space time continuum lol

  16. If you can't find a member with lr Westside has some really big live rock for sale. Sent from my DROIDX using Tapatalk
  17. Seahorse aquarium has a lot of plumbing parts, I would give them a call. Sent from my DROIDX using Tapatalk
  18. Thanks for posting this. I'll order the parts tomorrow. Sent from my DROIDX using Tapatalk
  19. Yesterday I noticed my torch coral was not waving around like it normally does. I thought it was because I unplugged my reactor, so I really didn't think much of it. Today when I turned my lights on I saw my poor little clowfish stuck to the front of the powerhead! My koralia had somehow reversed and was sucking in, not blowing out. Luckily the clown is ok and after unplugging the powerhead and plugging it back it started working normally again. Have you guys ever had this happen? Sent from my DROIDX using Tapatalk
  20. I have been using an eheim jager since I set my tank up in october and its amazing, my water has never fluctuated more than .3 degrees. One thing that may be a problem for some people is that they are really long (my 200watt is about 18" )and have to be vertical in the tank. Sent from my DROIDX using Tapatalk
  21. Would it be possible to post a picture of the brain coral? Sent from my DROIDX using Tapatalk
