Unfortunately just peeling them off the rock doesn't work usually. Even if there is just a tiny bit left (too small to see) they will be back. At least in my experience

for cereals i usually go for honey bunches of oats, cheerios, or grape nuts. sometimes I like to mix coco puffs with sugar smacks tho. Cereal chemistry.
