You might want to explain "buffed" type of aquarium, etc.

If you absolutely can't find a home for them I will take them, depending on the price that is if you are selling or giving them away. I wouldn't want to see them get separated either. I have had two in the past and had to get rid of them because they didn't get along with a puppy I had??? Couldn't figure that one out. But I live in an apartment but have plenty of room and only have 2 parakeets. PM me if you need my number or more info.

Just thought I would share this pic with everyone, I was shocked to see that this little ol' polyp snatch a big meal, considering it doesn't get much light where it popped up, I guess it is doing just fine I think it is a plain ol brown button polyp.

I run a little bit of carbon all the time (about 1/2 cup to 1 cup in nylon in my hob) so that is no problem there.

LOL Don't temp me Smann...I really should wait till my Sinularias gets settled. I love the white ones for sure, it's a nice contrast and looks good too.

I have looked into this coral a little, the white color in particular and wanted some input on how well it does. Not looking to get any atm but want to someday. Weighing the pros and cons of it and want to hear from anyone who has it or had it in the past and it's characteristics in various environments. The more input the better. Thanks.

I'm not offended my negative points, my point was to keep the negative just be forced to have to give a reason why and it be anonymous. What I am talking about wouldn't be neg because of an opinion, it would be factual for ex: I got an id wrong on rs and apologized later after the right ID was up there and I realized I was wrong. Now if I had of got a neg point and was given the reason :wrong id on hitchhiker, I would know not to do that again unless I was really sure of what I put on there, opinions are like a holes everyone has one and I usually agree to disagree in the end result without a big showdown. Opinions should be not allowed as a neg point. Does that make sense?

If you want to buy something and look it up online wouldn't you want to know why someone gave it a negative review? Or just want to know all the positive?

Or maybe have it where if you give a neg or pos a comment has to be added to state why you think a neg/pos should be given......Not necessarily WHO gave it .I don't think anyone really cares about the pos as much as they really want to know why they get a neg. So maybe neg comments have to be given so the person understands why they got it and can try to correct themselves and not do it again. ?

Makes sense about having it completely dark for a few hours, after all the moon doesn't shine ALL night long in just one spot. Thanks Rick.

I noticed the last two pics, everything was in focus what did you do there? The pics of the fish were great but too much in the background out of focus unless you just want to crop the picture. How is the zoom on that camera? The color is great!

I meant the last two pics you posted and the fish being the saltwater fish, they are perfect of the fish themselves, very nice

Not trying to hijack but I was reading about the red one as well and it says the same thing according to what I read, I placed it at the bottom thinking maybe if it wanted to climb or move it would go where it wanted too. (clap)

Anyone else want to chime in? I know there is a lot of coral owners here, do moon lights make a difference? I have some star polyps that stay open and that is it. I don't have moon lights.

Welcome to the forum, great people on here too.

It is a little different than mine by looking at it that close, it almost looks like it could open up more and give more detail what it is for sure. You know how some have lots of textures and polyp looking things on it.. (I'm such a noob)

I don't want in but will follow, I don't know if I will have room or the right set up by then, just want to follow along and see it happen, I'm in no rush and not going anywhere. I understand how it works. :/ I want to be prepared at the time when I actually involve myself in any kind of coral whether it be now or a year from now. :p

I think my name was taken so I just dropped the I, and it is a nickname as well. Sometimes I spell it different depending on whether it is still available or not. Pretty simple. jwls, jules, jewells, etc. etc. etc. lol

Thats funny I was just looking at that! Love the cave! Very nice I'm impressed. I have a flat rock that is on the bottom. Will keep that in mind for my next rearranging frenzy
