I am looking for 2 or 3 small pieces locally - no more than 15lbs. I also would like some special grade live sand to help seed the tank. Let me know what you have and how much you want.
Thanks!
Nick
Wow, I will definitely take you up on that offer!(clap) It will be a few months before we are up and running, but you will be the first person I contact. Thanks a bunch!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I have heard using RO/DI water only can produce inconsistent results. It's what I have always used in the past but I thought I should begin to use calibration fluid.
It's great to so many active members in the area. Hopefully when we get settled in more and my degree pursuits aren't kicking my butt, I might be able to meet some of you.
I wanted to let everyone know that I am driving to Salem today from Eugene. Does anybody need me to pick up anything for them? Just thought I would offer. I am leaving around 12:30pm.
Thanks everyone again for the advice and welcome! Clay, sorry but I have been really busy here lately and I won't be able to put a sump together during the week. Can you wait until this weekend?
Sure thing! We will have a sump building party.(dancing) Shoot me a pm. I will probably be ordering glass tomorrow.(clap)
Rick; Wow that sounds great. I have never heard of the brand. Can you give me some input on it?
I am looking for two different kinds, 100lbs of sugar size (0.2-1.0) and about 30lbs of special sea floor grade (1.0-2.0).
Let me know what you have.
Thanks!
I have never used soundproofing under my tanks. There are little tricks to make your equipment quieter. (i.e. rubber sheet under pump, air trap at end of skimmer's air intake)
I have a pretty cool solution. I heard this from a T-Mobile district manager. If you go out and buy a pre-paid phone (typically $40) you can switch the cards out in the back and it becomes a regular phone. It must be T-Mobile compatible. He said it's the cheap way to get a replacement phone without having to sign a contract. You might give it a shot. If it doesn't work you could just take it back.
One hell of a nice guy and great looking setup!(rock2) Thanks again buddy for the tank! I will let you know when I build the sump. Maybe we can post build thread on the board. Let me know if you ever need any help with your tanks.
Wow, it sounds like there are a lot of great saltwater enthusiasts around the area. (clap)
Sorry bud, the wife (wife) and I got busy this afternoon. I sent you a pm back.
