We are taking a trip to the tri cities this weekend and was wondering if there were any shops or anything worth checking out while we're up there.

Well the coral beauty likes to chase my clowns and my blenny every once in a while. So I guess Ill be ok.

I've been wanting to add another fish to my tank and I think I finally decided I want to add a small school of something. Needs to be somewhat non-aggressive and reef safe. I have: a 72 gallon with lots of LR bunch of snails, crabs and shrimp hard and soft corals a coral beauty a jewel blenny a small pair of clowns a carpet and a bubble anemone (that the clowns dont host) Are chromies pretty much my only option? And how many would be good? What about 3-5 Lyretail Anthia? Im worried my tank might not be large enough and worried about pricing. Ive seen pricing online anywhere from under $5 to over $25 each.

Yeah, we're going to keep them. I'm just about to check em to make sure they work and keep them next to my tank just in case.

Well our power just came back on a little bit ago. We ended up getting 2 battery air pumps but by the time my wife got home from work and we found them our power was back when we got home. Everything still seems to be ok.

So i just lost power at my place. what do i need to do to my tank and how long before i need to worry?

My buddy is setting up his 30 gallon tank right now and I said I would try to find him some budget rock. Hes looking for about 20ish LBS more. Anyone selling tufa rock?

I think its a wall bubble coral. You can also see the BTA in the top right. Its gotten alot larger and looks healthier now than when I got it.

Just thought I would update since my tank has been up and running in the 72 for a little over 2 months now. Got a few more frags, fish, and critters.

Stopped by for the first time. Will be going back for sure again for some deals on corals.

I know how that goes, I had like 8 snails and 1 hermit in my 72 bow. Thats why I ordered a clean up crew finally. I think I have them all traded now. Ill post back if it doesnt work out. I think I'm going to trade them to nwcoralfarm, and if that doesnt work out Im going to sell a few to racefan and ill post back with whats left. Hopefully everything makes it here alive tomorrow.

I'm receiving my order of crabs and snails tomorrow, but I am getting too many for my tank. It was cheaper to order the larger amount. I'm going to end up with about 20 Golden Astrea Snails and about 20 Small Blue Leg Hermit crabs extra. Does anyone want to trade for some coral frags? Like colorful zoas? Pretty much anything that can do well under 4 T5's in a 72 gallon. I'd really like a reef safe flame hawk that doesn't nip at crustaceans too. Jest let me know what you have.

I wasnt a 100% sure on the gallons. I bought it as a 55 gal but when someone heard it was 21" tall they said it was a 60 gallon.

How does $150 for the tank, stand, and canopy sound?

I been using the tank to help make RO/DI water, but I could really use the space in the garage now. Anyone need a nice glass tank?

I dont think I can get another sump in or out. I had to put this one in before I set up the tank. The only way I could get it in was throught the top. So should I try to put in a filter sock on the inlet for the sump or is it not needed?

Well I have like a 20 gallon wet dry sump and I want to replace the fabric for the trickle filter. What I really want to do is turn it into a fuge, but Im not really sure how yet. I already removed all the bio balls and just replaced them with live rock. Here is a pic of what I have right now. Can I just pull out the filter fabric and tray and throw in some cheato with a light above it? Do I need a physical filter? Do I need sand in it?

Does Jo-Anns Fabric sell any filter fabric? What should I look for?

Well I had my first fish casualty today. My foxface was too stupid to live. This is the one who got stuck to the powerhead. Well turns out he did it again, but I didnt find it in time. This is the fish that would rush to the powerhead whenever it got turned off to pick stuff off the propeller. Good thing they werent on a wavemaker.

So last night I head a weird noise coming from one of my powerheads. So I checked it out and it looked ok from outside the tank. I turned it off for a few min then turned it back on and the noise went away. And tonight it did the same thing. But this time I took the powerhead out of the tank to take a look. A guess what I found inside. A stupid snail.....
