Nothing but my food changed. I'm as shocked as the next person but it's true. I've had red slime for 2 months now and couldn't figure out the source until now.

I've been battling red slime for the last couple months and couldn't figure it out. Phosphates were low, weekly water changes, not over feeding, etc. Last week I bought Rod's Food to try something new. Within 3 days all my red slime is now gone. I was previously using the Arcti-Pods from Reef Nutrition. Anyways, I am now a huge believer of Rod's Food. Not only do my fish go nuts for it, but it cured my red slime problem! Thanks, Brad

I read that the Original blend of Rod's Food is the best all around.

Chat room is open tonight!!!

Which LFS carries Rod's Food? I've been wanting to try this.

I'm looking for a cheap 10-20g qt tank. I may resort to Walmart or Petco if needed. Thanks, Brad

Thank you all for the information and suggestiosn. I'm currently on the look out for a qt tank now.

True, I guess I might have to bite the bullet and start a qt tank. Any suggestions on what I would need? thanks@

If you buy a new fish from a LFS, how long should you leave it there to make sure it doesn't have a disease? I don't have a qt tank here at the house. Thanks, Brad

Thanks for all the suggestions! I had planned to get at least 1 perc. A Yellow Watchman was on my radar as well. I hadn't thought about the pistol shrimp but if it's entertaining I'm game. I also like the Flame Angel's as well. It's the last fish I'm undecided on.

What would you feed the lawnmower blenny if there wasn't enough GHA?

Alright, get your thinking caps on. If you had a 39g tank, what would be the top 4 fish you would get/recommend and why? Thanks, Brad

Congratulations...spoil her rotten! Brad

Thanks guys...Fred, I like that LR in your old Biocube. I would much rather have that than the pieces I got.

The chat feature is great, however the last 8 times I've gone in nobody is in it. Is there a way to display on the main page how many people are currently in chat? If so I think it would help get people involved. Thanks, Brad

Yeah, I'm not sold on the rock being lower...I'll probably try stacking it higher. After having this tank for a while I don't think I would buy this one if I had a do over. I personally like the tanks that are shorter but longer better.

I used a slotted spoon (typically used for pasta noodles) to get a fish out of my overflow once since my net was too big. I eventually got him with the spoon.

This is my first go with SW. I decided on the 39g Cadlights Signature tank. I'm having a hard time deciding on the placement of the LR. I don't know whether to keep the rock low or stack it higher (these tanks are 19.5" tall). I had an outbreak of ich with the first batch of fish so I decided to focus on reef first and then introduce fish later. 30 lbs LR 3rd chamber fuge w/ chaeto CUC Nass, Astrea, and Turbos Hermit crabs Cleaner Shrimp Carpet Anemone No corals yet but soon (I'm thinking just softies and LPS for now). Thanks, Brad

I'm curious, how do one of these even get into a tank? Thanks, Brad

This is good info, thanks! Which LFS carries the bags of salt instead of the buckets? I checked Fanta-Seas but they just have the bigger buckets but I don't need that much.

Here's how you set it as your default mail application. http://www.mozilla.org/support/thunderbird/faq#default Brad

I've used Thunderbird and it's great for what it does. If you also need a calendar you'll need to use Lightning from Mozilla as well since Thunderbird does not come with a native calendar program.

I concur, Steve is a great resource. I'm new and he's already helped me a great deal. This place rocks!

thanks guys...2nd part to the dilemma, how do I get the anemone off the LR it's on to trade in? Or do I need to take the whole rock into the LFS? Of course it found a safe haven on my favorite LR and on the back side of it (go figure).

I have a carpet anemone and I'm not quite sure what to do with it. My tank is only 3 months old and I already went through all my fish dying (ich) after I put a sick fish into my tank. I decided to hold off on fish for a while and get my reef tank off the ground first. 1. Do I keep the anemone or trade it in? 2. Will it do fine w/o a host for a while? Thanks, Brad
