  1. Man Joel I am jealous what a setup, well done, keep up the good work.
  2. Did the illegal macro algae rhyme with Barijuana? If not then I assume noone will be knocking down any doors to get to it.
  3. It is 20k 250 watt, price is very much negotiable, I have really no clue, sorry.
  4. I have just taken my MH off of my 35, it was retrofitted, comes with quick disconnects and a quite new bulb. Here are the pics, sorry they were taken with my phone so they arent very impressive. Shoot me an offer. Thanks!
  5. Sorry if I am becoming a pain, I just want to get a good setup. I am seeking advice on where to go from here: I have the 55 setup as a reef right now, I have a wet/dry under it that I have taken the bioballs out of and turned into a sump. I am thinking of taking my 35 and turning it into a refugium, running the 55 to the sump to the 35 then back over to the 55. Is this a good idea or no? I am assuming the sump is just overkill and will be needless to the setup but I figure since it is already there I might as well use it. Any thoughts? Thanks again for all the help!
  6. No, but sort of, I guess he will for a couple days to a week then I am giving him back to Patrick. I have had these guys before in my previous 350 setup, fun with a couple of them.
  7. My classroom tank has pcs, the first bulbs blew about a month ago so I have just been running 1, the last 1 went out today. Does anyone have a loaner for about a month I could use? Thank you! Oh and the kids saved up for a shark egg which we picked up for super cheap from Patrick at Fantaseas today. I am sure they will flip out when this thing hatches.
  8. Looks great, what size sump are you going to run down there, 1 of the 55s?
  9. Thanks everyone! This will be a great start, I will be happy to frag these off for more people in the future. PMs Have been sent, thanks again!
  10. Nice Krux, when you frag a few clams I will write a story about it for you. Think about it: you can be the first
  11. Here is a wish list of corals I would like to get for my home/classroom tanks. I would like to get some faster growing corals for my home tank that I can frag for my classroom in the near future. I am still waiting to transfer my 40 out and 35 w/halides in, so they will all be going to the home tank until I do the switch. 1. Ricordea(s) 2. Softs, leathers 3. Clam(s) 4. RBT or frankly any anenome known to have luck hosting with clowns 5. I have never had experience with SPS and run T-5s at home so I would prefer to wait on these until I feel more up to speed on them I already have frogspawn I can frag for the tank, a hairy mushroom, green star polyps, galaxia, some xenia, so if you have anything else you would like to frag at a low cost I am all ears. Thanks and God Bless!
  12. I am an idiot, thanks for noticing. DOH! They are PCs, I dont even know how I came up with VHOs on this one. Sorry
  13. I have no idea what I could/should get for it. My wish list in terms of trades: 1. New T-5 Bulbs 2. Have my aquarium buffed 3. Have my T-5s retrofitted 4. shrimp goby/pistol shrimp (or other reef safe fish for that matter) 5. A refugium setup 20-40 gallons I understand this is pretty detailed but this is all I am looking for for my home tank. My school tank isnt set up yet so I dont have a wish list that includes it.
  14. I just got a T-5 in a trade from Kris today and am looking to sell my PCs. It is made by current and has a total wattage of 260 (4-65 watts) Shoot me over an offer. Thanks!
  15. I would possibly be willing to give you my 40 gallon setup that I am trying to sell. It has a refugium and actinics. Shoot me over a pm and we can talk. Thanks and best of luck!
  16. last pic is sweet, its an ulua (the larger blue fish next to the threadfin butterfly), thats the prize spearfishing fish, I stoned a 110 lb one a couple years back, brings back memories, thanks for showing these. oh sweet and some weke in the 4th pic (white goatfish), also a good fish to spear, man this about makes me emotional and hungry.
  17. jeez CA20R, I post a lot and only have 33 posts since I joined last month. How in the world do you have over 1900 and you have only been around a month more than me? That is wild, is that true?
  18. It most definitely is acrylic and I am using a buffing kit starting tomorrow, but from the people I have spoken to, it has been stated that I am better off using this as a sump and looking for a new tank. I don't expect to find one for cheap but I thought I would put the feelers out there. I can live with a badly scratched tank, just not at all preferable.
  19. I got pretty much the shaft on the tank I just bought and am coming to realize that it will take about a year to get all the scratches out of this one. If anyone has a 55 glass or acrylic with built in overflow that is in GOOD shape and would like to get rid of it: please shoot me over a pm, I am interested. Thanks!
  20. I have had quite a few of these straight from the ocean in Hawaii and they were probably 1 of the easiest fish to care for. I never had any problems with parasites, no problems with them competing for food, they were a great addition as a top water fish and were always a presence in the front of my tanks. I can't recall ever losing one and I probably owned over a dozen all together.
  21. Nice man, looks great, keep us posted. (Im the guy from Fantaseas yesterday)
