I have a rose that divides into 3 about every 9 to 12 months, it disappeares as wannareef described & within a week 3 emerge from their hiding place. I also notice the animal turns a deep almost purple red just prior to the split.

Nice pics, for some reason unknown to me most of my zoas started to disappear. However yours looks great, keep up the good work.

actinics on at 10:30 am off at 10:00 pm MH on at 12:00 noon off at 9:00 pm

Frag system on steroids. This guy has quite the system kinda just patched togather. Working great though.

Does the worm get stuck on the stocking or in it? This may explain where all my zoas went.

There are quite a few people that have had overflowing issues, the trick I've found is to cut the outlet pipe about a half inch above the transition to the neck.

 

No more overflow problems...

 

What this does is allows the skimmer to overflow out the top of the outlet pipe if there is a rise in pressure instead of causing the water in the chamber to rise too high in the neck.

 

I honestly don't know why the overflow happen but this solves the problem completely.

 

When I go by the school later this week I'll take a few pictures if you need.

Pictures would be great, I hate to cut on something I know little about. Pics would clear up exactly where to cut. Thanks for every ones help.

whisper quiet and pulls a lot of sludge.

I also have this skimmer but found that it is quick to overflow if the water level rises even just a little. Do you have this problem Randy, & if so what have you done to combat it. Otherwise this is a great skimmer.
