A little pricier, but uses an optical sensor vs. float switch (has a float switch for emergency shut off).  I think you can change it to "nano" mode as well.  Been serving me well (I've also an AIO), just make sure it's not near real turbulent water or bubbles as that can impact the operation of the optical sensor.

BRS also has some really good videos on ato's and how to set up some backup redundancy for a fail safe to give you piece of mind. It isn't quite fail safe but unlikely everything would fail at once with backup.

I love mine also. I have not had any problems with fish. Really low profile so hard for fish to get sucked in but they do make a fishguard. Easy to clean. 

If you haven't already checked it out, go to BRS videos. They have some good tips on scrubbers. For the check out Jorgensen Labs soda lime. I believe they are quite a bit cheaper.

Did you try recirculating the co2 scrubber into the top of the skimmer lid? Making sure it is on the outside of where the foam comes up.

Welcome! I like your list. Good research. I use 2 extra stage in my RO unit. I add an extra carbon filter and 2 DI stages. When the first DI stage is exhausted i refill and move the 2nd stage to the 1st so I get a little longer use. Don't know much about the red sea led but for around the same price the AI led light might be one to check out. I think also reef fi is making a single puck light but not sure of the price.

Anyone have a kalk reactor/stirrer they want to part with? The bigger the better.

Mine is so docile. I wish it would be more aggressive but I have some big fish in my tank.

I would be interested in borrowing one if the par meters once they are back in

Looks great! Looks clean enough to make some sterile surgeries on some coral.

I would suggests pictures. Especially being older equipment then people can make a better assessment.

Hopefully it is just because of everything going on that has caused this issue. Unfortunately you had to suffer.
