  1. That sucks John. Thanks for sharing. The advice I was going to give but sounds like you got it down was slow addition or subtraction of things is crucial to our eco systems.. It hard to do when you see your corals dying. Sometime when we get impatient to add or subtract we can cause problems for corals that weren't affected by our original rtn problem we were having.

  2. Welcome. Like the aquascape. I hope one day since there no saltwater clubs up North maybe our club can someday help start a northern branch of our club. Be one club but help Notherners get going again. Just a thought.

this is going to sound old school, but I really like the royal gramma

I have a pair of Royal Gramma's. I love their bright colors. They can be territorial sometimes.

  4. It looks amazing in your tank! Here are some other pics of it. It definitely changes colors depending where it is in the tank. The first pic is under blues and uv.

    Hi Everyone,

The 22 gallon tank has two clownfish and large and very happy plate coral, a lot of other soft coral whose name I don’t know, and an anemone that the clownfish like.

The pump seems to leak out of the tubing. It is likely that just replacing the tubing might fix that problem. If I don’t watch it all the time, it drips.

The tank when at school is amazing, and the kids really love it. It is just getting to be a real challenge to manage in my house.

Help any time is welcome. Contacting me at my work email would be great. For some reason I am not getting alerts from the forum.

    Thank you,

    Katrina

Can you show a picture of where the pump is leaking?

AWESOME!  We tried to stop there once, but we came on a Monday, they were closed to public.  Just double check to make sure they are open on whatever day you go.  Take pics, that's going to be a fun trip!

Thanks for heads up. I hope there are open.

  7. I would if you decide to tweak numbers try to go for one at a time. It is easier on your tank and easier to find what works best and what doesn't. For your PH for a test run see if you can open some windows for a couple of hours. If your ph raises than you know that co2 is part of the problem. My tank is down in the basement with not a lot of windows. I ran a 1/4" refrigeration line over 30' from the nearest window to my skimmer. I was able to raise .15. Going to put get some houseplants. Going to add algae to refugium. Trying soda lime also. Testing to see one at a time which one will work best for consistency and highest PH.
