  1. Garrett, How big are we talking? 2", 3". etc??? Man, I have always wanted one of these! lol...never mind. I should have read the whole post!
  2. So I was looking in my sump tonight, and noticed a plug from an air pump that I am no longer using fell into my sump. The shinny finish has worn off the prongs, and what looks to be copper is now showing though. It also has spots of rust, so Im sure its been in there for some time now. This is actually a huge relief to me, cause I have been having problems with my tank over the last few months...I have lost quite a few SPS, and the SPS that are still remaining have lost their color and polyp extension. My LPS & Zoas/pallys have still be thriving though. Im really hoping the metal in my sump is the cause for my SPS issues...I guess Im lucky I didn't loose more. Time for multiple water changes now to get any remaining metals out. I guess this is a lesson! If you have a cramped sump/stand with a ton of wires & equipment in it, its worth a look to make sure nothing has falling into it that shouldn't have.
  3. Either 23 or 24...it's hard to tell without disturbing them too much.
  4. Where has Snowpunk been? I have been eagerly awaiting his polyp count!
  5. I have 2 of the second one laying arround. I used the before I got my aqua controller... Have anything you want to trade for them?

    My new 72

Looks good Eric! Its a nice step up from your 36g. You should keep an eye out for some bigger pieces of rock and do some more aquascaping. I have always thought aquascaping similar to my 36g bow would look 10x better in a 72! Also, may I ask why your using a canister filter if you have a sump?
  7. Wait, never mind... I have 20. I just realized I skipped 12. Oops.
  8. Okay...I had some extra time to spend with my tank today, so I took pics form all different angles (and even moved the rock they are on around a bit) of the frag, then tallied the polyps up. Here is what I found. It took some time, but I have 21 polyps.
  9. I have 16 that I will now claim, and 4 more are about 1/16" across..just a tiny green dot.
  10. lol...better hurry up! I just counted 16! several of them are very small though...
  11. Yes, possibly 14. The smaller polyps started really pushing up though the larger polyps today, so I am thinking they will all be visible in a photo within a few days.
  12. Here is my frag as of today. There are also six 1/2 size polyps arround the edges that are hiding very well. Here is a pic with the polyps closed up to get an idea... By the next photo update, the babies should be full sized!
  13. Im still in! I have been in and out of town several times over the last month or so, and work has been very hectic so I have't had time to take any pics. I will be back in town on Monday, so I will get a pic updated them. Last I checked, I have a total of 9, maybe 10 polyps. The 5 original, and 3 or 4 that are about 3/4 developed.
  14. Thanks! Yes, I made it...I dont think I will ever make another one again though. It took upwards of 60 hours to build. Bending wood is not fun. It is made of birch plywood stained with an ebony color.

    My Pond

I originally built this pond at my parents house when I was 15. I rebuilt it bigger and better about 4 years ago. I was at my parents last weekend, so snapped some pics of it. Its really growing in, and the fish are getting huge!
  16. The frag has been in my tank for 22 hours now and is doing well. I glued it to a piece of rock rubble. I do not plan on moving it or doing anything special. Just leaving it alone for 3 months. First Pic: 07/02/2009 1 Week: 07/09/2009
