  1. Just a quick update on the Tropic Marin salt - so far I am quite impressed. It mixes up cleaner than my red sea and my corals look great! I tend to keep my CA level up around 440-460 so even using this salt I have to suppliment daily with an A&B. I see no reason to switch back to red sea at this point (until I run out and can't find tropic Marin anywhere around here)!
  2. Hey guys, not to try and bring up this old thread, but... My tank is a nano and I have two clowns in it. I am religious about 40% water changes every week (at least once). Out of all these wrasses it looks like the sixline would be the best fit for my 14 g nano. Any thoughts? thanks in advance.
  3. I would love some hammer - I don't have much to trade so what would cost be? I like those red shrooms as well
  4. LIsaJill, Are you wanting to install this under your kitchen sink? Do you want to tap into your supply line or use the faucet adapter? When I installed mine it was fairly easy - install the cartridges and put the lines on. The instructions were not great so there was a bit of confusion on my part. Did you happen to get a TDS meter with the RO unit as well?
  5. Talk to Joel at Waves, he makes some real nice starfire cubes!
  6. I did get a chance to stop by today and I was pleasantly surprised. All his fish looked very healthy and Bob was a very frienly guy. His baby clowns looked very nice and healthy. I look forward to seeing what variety of corals that he should have in a few weeks. I will certainly go back.
  7. I was cruising Craigslist and came across this, did anyone happen upon this store today by chance? I will try and head there after church tomorrow and see what they are all about! http://portland.craigslist.org/wsc/for/834898122.html
  8. Does anyone need more Freshwater plants? I can certainly bring them to the meeting again.
  9. Welcome to the group! My youngest daughter has become quite good at helping me maintain the tanks (she is 8). She helps me dose my FW planted tank every day and helps out with the salt some...it is great to see another child so interested. I like how you have done your rockwork also. Let me know if you need any frags of GSP or Xenia
  10. I just got rid of about 5 stalks...the xenia grows like a weed in my tank. My ricordea are finally splitting it looks like!
  11. I have a spare deep cycle RV batterie and a power inverter...you could keep air and heat and current going on the trip if you so choose. Let me know if you want to borrow.
  12. Thought I would just upload a few pictures...am not good with the camera but at least you can tell what the images are of! A few zoanthids and some orange Ricordea A 'sandshot': the Ricordea again:
  13. Here is the young clam. The angle of this makes it look like the zoanthids are too close, but they are a few inches.
  14. Nyles, what is TMPCC? I must have some super-strain of flatworms. I will do some research on the yellow coris and the two wrasses you reccommend. thanks!
  15. Kris, I am a huge Raiders fan and I must say I am dissapointed yet again this year :( When will the nightmare end? when???
  16. I should be able to make the 21st - unless my wife has anything planned for my 25th birthday (ok, so maybe I will be just a BIT older than that). ha ha ha!
  17. So I treated with FWE a while back and have introduced nothing new to my tank since...they are back! Has anyone tried a sixline (or twelve line) wrasse to help with flatworms? Not sure I want to keep dosing my tank if it did not work the first time. And yes, I did read the instructions and followed them to the letter
  18. The clam is between 1.75 and 2 inches at thsi point. He is open and doing great thus far. The tank has been set up for about 5 months. 14 gallon Nano for now (will be expanding eventually). I will post pictures a little later today when I am home. Thanks everyone!
  19. have that aiptasia X ready when you put that rock back in! the stuff is amazing!
  20. I purchased a small Crocea and was wondering how often you guys would reccomend feeding him (I feed Kent Phyto Plex). The LFS that sold it to me said everyday...you agree with that? Thanks Mark
  21. Welcome to PNWMAS. I think you will find the people here much more friendly than some of the other reef boards out there!
  22. They are orange and a few have a purple-ish fringe on the outside - flourescent green mouths.. What colors do you have? Waves has some wicked cool looking green-glow ones!
  23. Let me know if you guys want any...I have a huge amount right now and obviously will be seeing more in the near future.
  24. out of the 6 ricordea I have 3 of them now have at least two mouths! Woo-hoo. I will have something to trade soon!
