  1. Doran, I suggest a Wed or Thurs 6 - 9PM. Come to hang out and watch the sunset. Any vote for mid August? I think weekend is not good for most people.
  2. Yeah this is my first time. I'm excited to this event. Hope to get a good deal. Should we meet at a booth? Otherwise how do you who is who? I'll be there early at 10:30AM. See you guys there.
  3. Oh. I realize that Doran is trying to set this up. You're too far away. Let's see of Doran can come up with a place and time. I'll try to come and mingle.
  4. Kevin, How about downtown Vancouver, Sat market or Beaches restaurant or McNemanis bar next to Beaches. These are close to Portland. Thurs night should be good.
  5. I just got my ticket. I hope to find few exotic corals. Got to bring alot money. Do they take credit card?
  6. I'll be there depending on the day.
  7. will you sell the calcium reactor and phosphate reactor separately?
  8. can you tell more about your calcium reactor? Picture? Thanks. What's the brand and how old? Is it good for 100G tank? Do you need to have CO2 tank?
  9. I have a hammer coral, which has not been opened up much. I see hermits nibbling on the skeleton. I also have a brain coral, which has been losing it's yellow pigment slowly. It's still expanding. Other SPS and LPS are OK. I have 400W X2 and 6 Actinic blue 100W each; 2 1200Max jet pumps and sea swirl. Any thought what can be wrong or what I need to do? I tried to move them to different locations. No luck.
  10. How far are you from Vancouver, WA. Are you selling live stocks separately?
  11. I have 2 white actinic bulbs if you're interested. I only used them for 2 months.
  12. I know that....but some polyps open at night and not as many as before. Even when I put food in, they are not responding that much.
  13. I have a sun coral for few months. It was opening up nicely. For the past 2 weeks, the polyps are not opening up as much. pH is 8, salinity 1.024, change water 10% every week for 2 weeks. Is it too much light? Does anyone have experience with sun coral. I feed it plankton, cyclopedes, mysis. I don't pipette the food on the surface because the shrimps and other inverts will come and eat the food. Any suggestions? Thanks

    Problems

Try to increase random water current flow. I had the same problem before. So I added more flow and light to the tank. SPS are doing fine now.
  15. your clams look good. My clam has lost some deep blue color on the surface. do you know why? too much light or current?
  16. YOur mangroves are nice. I bought 2 but they have not bloomed like yours. I place them in the sump with lighting for 6 hours. Do they need more light?
  17. Awesome pics. Amazing looking mushrooms. Where do you get them? I need to buy some. My Indosesian red anemone died few weeks ago. So my 4 clown fish are lonely.
  18. want to trade for nice tank raised clown fish. what pods do you have and where you get them? I'd like to get some for my mandarine goby.
  19. Nanoreefer. how big are the rics? I'll take blue ric and pastel green rics.
  20. thanks impur. Now I understand the concept of fresh air to dilute CO2 and therefore raise pH. OK I'll keep the pH as is since it has not changed much. I'll try your recommendation.
  21. my skimmer has an airline, venturi valve/line. this morning the pH is 7.89
  22. thanks everyone for your comment. My pH probe is in the sump. my sps and lps are doing fine at pH 7.98. I thought pH of 8.4 is ideal. I have to research more on using kalk or Mrswages before I dare to titrate the pH.
  23. I bought an Aquacontroller with pH probe to monitor my pH level. I calibrated it. The water is around 7.98 to 8. I add pH Buffer every day but cannot get it to stay above 8 or close to 8.4. I don't have a calcium reactor. Do you recommend I use Pickle Lime or Kalwasser to raise pH level? I have a 100G tank. How to mix Mrs. Wages Pickle Lime?
