  1. I like the Sassy Onion on State Street for their 1 1/2" thick French Toast. They also have a great Burgers for the lunch crowd. Sybil's Omelettes Unlimited also is a great breakfast place.
  2. Michael 7979 your location says "Just north of SO-LAME". I know fore sure that our water is better than Keizer water down here in SALEM.
  3. Black Eyed Peas sounded like ca ca. Next time who ever runs their sound will turn up the music so it doesn't sound like a second class rap music. Second half needs to be better played. Last man standing wins.
  4. This video looks like it was shot professionally. Very impressive and beautiful video.
  5. Welcome, and sorry for your bad start with the club. You will notice a change in attitude as most people on here are kind. Sorry again for you getting the one bad apple.
  6. Kim you're a whale four times over. 4000 posts. Had to put that so nobody would take the comment wrong. Congrats.
  7. I've heard that you cut a piece of air line tube the length of the metal rod from the prop to the outer cover and that stops the chatter from stopping and starting. Then they will work with a wave maker.
  8. Your price is fine for the right buyer. You might not get it here. The fixture & ballasts went for over a grand retail a few years ago and are easy to get ballasts for.
  9. That's Jon for you. Always doing for others. It's almost time to ride the bikes Jon.
  10. The guy at Rose City Aquarium now is 1/2 owner of Ocean In A Box. His name is Coz.
  11. When I worked for Jason at Coral Reef Pet Center a couple of years ago, Jason got pissed on day and said his clams were spawning. I asked what was the problem with that, and he said that all the clams were gonna die. The next week you could see one after another die off. Lost all the clams he had. I hope you have different results.
  12. 25 years ago I lived in Colton, but kids needed a better place to grow up. Loma Linda hospital is the best. I don't think In & Out will ever come to Oregon due to the fact they never freeze their meat. But if they went to Las Vegas who knows. Pollo Loco is in Beaverton now, so who knows. The weather in California is what I miss the most.
  13. Kate if you are interested in tile, it can be purchased for around a dollar a square ft and if you take pictures and measure the room I could give you a free estimate on how much it would cost.
  14. Looks very healthy. Both of my hippos do this when they wake up and yawn. LOL
  15. If your stand is made of wood, grind or file the feet till it stops rockin'. If the tile job is good it shouldn't break if the subfloor was installed properly. I have a 210 on my 18" X 18" tile and no problems. Good luck
  16. Welcome. Another member from Cali. I've been here for 12 years, but still have family and miss the Ventura area. Welcome again.
  17. Thank you guys for the plug. Slow for tile contracting right now. Great deals for PNWMAS members. Thanks again.
  18. Put tile in your basement with tile base and never worry about flooding again. I'll do it cheap.
  19. If anybody from Portland is going to Garretts, have Jase (jadams 7) drop the reactor off at Garretts and they can bring it back to Portland. Just a thought.
  20. NOT GONNA HAPPEN IN & OUT will only franchise to where they can deliver the food in one day. They never freeze the meat and serve only the freshest ingredients. When I was doing tile contracting in California, one of our offices was in Baldwin Park and the IN & OUT there is a training facility for all of their managers. Now I'm hungry. Back in the old days In & Out gave out bumper stickers that read In & Out Burger and everybody removed the b and r in burger. to read urge. Those bumper stickers soon disappeared.
  21. Open Monday Go visit Nick (owner) Rose City Aquarium on Powell in Portland. Open 7 days a week. Great deals. Welcome aboard.
  22. Best Burger I drove trucks all across the U.S. and both In & Out (California Burger Chain) and Five Guys (I have been to the one in Beaverton) are about the same. If you want the best burger, go to the Midwest and try a Culvers Butterburger. Best burger I have ever tasted is a Burger from home cooked on a Traeger with thick slices of avocado. The Sassy Onion on State Street in Salem makes a burger called the California Burger that kicks a$$, but cost over $7 with fries.
