The tank is a Nuvo 10 with AI Prime light; I'm using foam block and chemipure in the filter caddy; the entire middle section of the backside is filled with marinepure bio balls. No additives or testing, just 1-2 gal water change per week and top-off the evaporated water as needed.
Some ultra rock anemones just arrived! Praying that they will all stay in the front of the tank!!!

No prize for this month's contest? Would be awesome to have vendors sponsor the photo contest for small prizes to get more participation! I think photography is an important and very fun aspect of this hobby. It inspires people to care for their little pieces of the ocean even more because a healthy tank can yield breathtaking photos.
One more thing, does it have to be my acro? If it does then I'm out of luck; no acros in my nano lol

I would love to go on this tour! This was the place that sparked my interest in reef aquariums. My marine biology professor at U of P took us here on a field trip back in 2005; that's when I saw the reef tank display filled with pulsing xenia and immediate decided that was too cool not to have at home. The addiction has gotten worse over the years! Lol
A behind-the-scene tour of the Newport aquarium would be awesome too!!!

Cuttlefish and Ocean in a Box are my fav; Upscales used to be but the last few times I went their selection was kinda sad and prices were kinda ridiculous.

I was working on covering the rock in my tank with rics and zoas; i have a lot rics left that I don't have room for; I went a little overboard with ordering lol Great mix of very nice colors if you wanna start a collection; most are not on reef plug but are attached to some rubbles so you can glue them to your rock works or plugs. More to come later; these are what I have time to sort thru so far:
$35
$45 (Orange with green edge, 4 mouths, attached to rubbles); $35 (plug with orange ric and weird green/orange morph with multiple mouths); $30 (rubble with 3 green/orange/dark colors rics).
$100 mix of some very cool rics (4 pieces).
$100 another mix of cool rics (6 pieces)
$45 rainbow sakura (about 12 polyps)
$325 if you buy it all to make it simple for me and make your tank look like a rainbow took a sh*t in it! Lol I'll throw this piece in as a bonus as well.

That's gorgeous! I wish my tank was big enough for one!

Each camera is slightly different; most point and shoot do not have the customs wb setting; if you have a dslr or similar interchangeable lens camera then it's under your wb setting. Consult your manual for direction to set it (easiest way for reef tanks is just to snap a full tank shot while in customs wb setting). For best color pop, turn down your white (almost to zero) and bump up the blues. Dial down the exposure a little bit so you don't get blown out highlights. I hope thats not too confusing.

I just use stock pump; tried a more powerful pump but it was too strong for softies. I feed everything in my tank once every 2-3 days; the rock and maxi nems love to eat!
