  1. Am I the only one who thought that the Blazers did a better job of defending, but lacked the offensive edge last night? :( I say they win game 4 for sure though.(whistle) Ricky Soutas Jr. -Soutas Saltwater & Reef Inc.-
  2. Same here, you should have seen the Cirrhilabrus Linneatus Wrasse we had in our display tank. It was gorgeous! We had him for a year before he got spooked by something and jumped out. It really sucked because he would come right up to your hand and eat too. :( Ricky Soutas Jr. -Soutas Saltwater & Reef Inc.-
  3. I present to you the: SOUTAS' CRYSTAL STAGHORN This coral has been a very well kept secret here at Soutas Saltwater for years. It has a amazing white body with gentle purple tips and glowing yellow tops. This coral was created in one of our systems through color morphing, and we've been aquaculturing it for 6+ years now. YOU WILL NOT FIND THIS CORAL ANYWHERE ELSE, I GUARANTEE IT. Ricky Soutas Jr. -Soutas Saltwater & Reef Inc.-
  4. "exotic coral farm" I'm pretty sure my dad started one of those 22 years ago. (laugh) The only difference is that he also started selling fish, and supplies as well. I'd go for it if I were you. With 13 years of credible experience of it myself I have to say it is quite fun. We currently aquaculture more than 100+ exotic species of coral including many "LE's", and quite a few of our own unique color morphs that were created in our systems. These corals have been aquacultured anywhere from 1 to 14 years each, they grow ridiculously fast and maintain awesome coloration because of it. We only have a few aquacultured Chalice and Acan corals though. But, we do have the biggest selection of aquacultured SPS in the whole northwest though, so I think that makes up for it. Either way I think that if you seriously got into aquaculturing it would be very beneficial. It sickens me to see the amount of business' that are removing, not a few, but thousands of whole Australian coral colonies out of the wild every single year through Australian transshippers. Then they inflate the cost of the corals themselves through the roof. It's robbery of the ocean, and your pocketbook if you ask me. It makes more sense to me to get a few nice corals a years, aquaculture them, and when they're well established sell some frags of it at a reasonable price. It's a fair practice and it has no impact on the ocean at the same time. In any case, good luck on your endeavors Issac, if you still want to trade some of those amazing chalices in your collection for some of our rare stuff we're still game for trading. Never got the time to get over to the shop, so just send me a message and we can arrange something if you like. Ricky Soutas Jr. -Soutas Saltwater & Reef Inc.-
  5. Yao, Scola, Artest, Aaron. Scola, Artest, Aaron. (scratch) Ricky Soutas Jr. -Soutas Saltwater & Reef Inc.-
  6. Here's another. Our Royal Blue Staghorn: We've been aquaculturing this coral for 5 years now. It has a amazing royal blue body with brown coralites and if your really lucky you'll get a hint of green right at the tip. The coralites are sharp and pointy and will grows in thin erect branches. Ricky Soutas Jr. -Soutas Saltwater & Reef Inc.-
  7. I'd also like to say that he we have frags of this beautiful colony in our shop with 5-6 heads on it for cheap! We've been growing them for 2 years now. These are wonderful aquacultured acans that grow amazingly fast! Ricky Soutas Jr. -Soutas Saltwater & Reef Inc.-
  8. No kidding, when that guy is open he can hit the threes left and right. They should have known by now that letting him run down to the end of the court wide open would play against them, especially during a close finish. DOH!
  9. YESSSS!!!!!!!!!!! WE WON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!(clap)(clap)(clap)(clap)(clap) Wow, Roy, did you see his points? 42 or so.(laugh) I just wish more people would have gotten shots in. What was up with them not passing to a wide open Fernandez either? He was CLEAR in 3 point territory many, many times! Refs were still awful, but way better tonight. Tonights crowd was STRONG! Yeah, its going to be awesome! Ricky Soutas Jr. -Soutas Saltwater & Reef Inc.-
  10. I think everyone is going to blow up in this game. We'll simply need to. It is a good thing for every player to do good tonight. Key things I'd like to see: Brandon going in for the hoop while drawing fouls/Jump shots when clear Aldridge going in for the hoop while drawing fouls/Jump shots when clear Fernandez sticking to the 3 point perimeter/Being assisted by Rodriguez Blake making sure that ball gets moved around/Making good assists Outlaw NOT ATTEMPTING ANY MOVING JUMP SHOTS!!!/Blocking and guarding Przybilla being a bit more defensive than the last game/Throw off Yao's game Oden making sure to be under the hoop for dunks/Throw off Yao's game Rodriguez assisting Fernandez/Taking key shots he knows he'll make Channing, I'd like to see him shoot some baskets when open Bayless GOING FOR THE HOOP/Drawing fouls They need to pass, pass, pass! What did I see last game, a lack of passing. They need to shut down Yao early even if it means getting aggressive to get into his head. DO NOT LET AARON GO TO THE HOOP! Lastly, watch out for Artest's well known cheap shots. Ricky Soutas Jr. -Soutas Saltwater & Reef Inc.-
  11. WOOO, BLAZER GAME IN 1 HOURS AND 30 MINUTES!!!(clap)(clap)(clap) Ricky Soutas Jr. -Soutas Saltwater & Reef Inc.-
  12. SO MANY BEAUTIFUL ACROOOOS! (drooler) Ricky Soutas Jr. -Soutas Saltwater & Reef Inc.-
  13. Wow, you have good taste in corals, you have many pieces in there that we have been aquaculturing for years. :p I really like that Teal Deep Water colony with green polyps you have, is there a chance you could stop by and give us a nice sized piece of it. We'll make sure to treat you right in return. Go ahead and send me a PM. Ricky Soutas Jr. -Soutas Saltwater & Reef Inc.-
  14. Wow and it looked like a nice one too. :( This is one of our original purple tipped tri-colors! Really cool. We've been growing it for about 8 years now, and it has white/tan base with purple/blue tips and white/green polyps. A real treat under different types of lighting! Ricky Soutas Jr. -Soutas Saltwater & Reef Inc.-
  15. I don't know about you, but I think it's time that us Acropora fanatics had our our own Acropora photo thread. I'm really interested to see what everyone else has hiding out in their tanks. So post some photos and some stories, I can't wait to see them! I'll start this off with one of one of my personal favorites. The Soutas' Baby Blue Staghorn This is a Staghorn coral that had its color change through color morphing in our system. We've been growing it for about 6 years now, and it is BEAUTIFUL! Ricky Soutas Jr. -Soutas Saltwater & Reef Inc.-
  16. Greg Oden stepped up tonight and did the right thing. He played ok, but I wish more of the team had as well. They needed to bring way more intensity to the game. The Rockets were on a real streak tonight, and one of the biggest things that got them was letting Ming get hot by not shutting him down early. That reffing was almost unbelievable, did you see those calls / lack of calls? And to think that commissioner Stern was watching this. The Blazers need to put this game behind them, learn from it, but put it behind them and focus on a game plan for Tuesdays game. I'm sure they'll do much better! Ricky Soutas Jr. -Soutas Saltwater & Reef Inc.-
  17. Sean's got a point! :p Ricky Soutas Jr. -Soutas Saltwater & Reef Inc.-
  18. Who here is excited about this first playoff game tomorrow. I know I am! I can't wait for the Blazers to play the Rockets. It's going to be a good show. I've been a Blazers fan since I was 3 years old and I've been waiting for something great like this to happen to our team again for a few years now. * Retracting statement, Oden stepped up to the plate tonight for his team with a sinus infection. Good to see it. Ricky Soutas Jr. -Soutas Saltwater & Reef Inc.-
  19. Thanks for letting him know CCR, I completely forgot to mention that and I apologize. I'm hoping he has a better week this time. I've got a feeling he will though. I try to be optimistic about it and it usually turns out good! Ricky Soutas Jr. -Soutas Saltwater & Reef Inc.-
  20. It's more than a passion, it's a obsession. (laugh) Stop on by and we'll be glad to help you! Ricky Soutas Jr. -Soutas Saltwater & Reef Inc.-
  21. Thanks for the compliments, all! We work very hard to bring you the best. By the way racefan, it was nice talking with you and your family while you were in and I look forward to your next visit if you choose to do so. Ricky Soutas Jr. -Soutas Saltwater & Reef Inc.-
  22. It's a Strawberry Anemone! Lucky you, just keep them away from your other corals. Ricky Soutas Jr. -Soutas Saltwater & Reef Inc.-
  23. Sounds like you got them from a bad supplier. They are a sturdy fish. :( I'm sending you a PM. Ricky Soutas Jr. -Soutas Saltwater & Reef Inc.-
  24. Well, if your looking for other types of tangs that would help you with this problem and are different color/shapes, here is a list I posted the other day with adjustments for your specific tank: Yellow Tang (Strongly recommended) Sailfin Tang (Strongly recommended) Desjardini Sailfin Tang (Strongly recommended) Black Tang (Scopus, could get aggressive) Purple Tang (It costs way to much, but if you want one they are out there) Ricky Soutas Jr. -Soutas Saltwater & Reef Inc.-
  25. The zebrasoma genus of tangs eat filamentous algae (hair algae). The yellow tang is one of them. I'd think that the kole tang would get along with the yellow tang. We've housed them together many times with no problems. Anything can happen though. You would know your fish better than I do though when it comes to aggression, and their own individual personalities. Ricky Soutas Jr. -Soutas Saltwater & Reef Inc.-
