If you are anywhere near Clackamas / happy valley they occur naturally in the drainage across the street from my house I use them to feed my larval newts. They are free

Lol ? I love a good Coldwater pun. I'll for sure make up a bunch of bottles of pods and bring em down. Do a club special for $5 a bottle or something Gonna try and get out to the coast this coming weekend and harvest some more brood stock so you guys will have fresh wild ones in there also. Also, for those interested in trying out a Coldwater tank on a budget I will be more than happy to share all the tricks and DIY stuff to do one -

Looking forward to this (rock2) I love every second that I get when people wanna hear me talk, mostly because my wife is sick and tired of hearing me talk about anemones and octopus (laugh) I better update my presentation, lol. The last time I gave this was back in April and quite a few new and exciting things have happened since then I'm hoping for at least a few Coldwater coverts after the meeting................so I guess the only question is......................who's chilling with me. Oh wait I got a better one....................who's gonna catch cold? Wait, wait, wait..................................Are you cool enough for coldwater? I could do this for days, but I'll save some for the meeting (laugh) -
Thanks again for the deal on the little chiller!
-
Pm'd you on the chiller.

No problem Just let me know how they do, I still gotta get to making a tank so I can keep em inside where I can enjoy them while I have em, lol. The Octopus generally prefer the taste of children, thats why I had to get rid of that one....(hungry) If you wanna try a small Moonglow anemone in there just let me know and I'll hook you up Might be kinda cool and it if they survive on my window sill they should be ok in your tank

Why cant Leopard sharks just fall out of the sky when I'm looking for them....

Just let me know when you want jellies and I'll go get em They should be fine at room temp, and I could probably find several medusa jellies pretty easy. We also find the Sea Gooseberrys on the regular.
-
At the least the Beavers were able to beat Washington State this year, good job little brother GO DUCKS.
-
I also have live tigriopus calicornicus collected from Oregon if you want them as a food source
-
If you want jellies I can collect some for you this weekend just let me know how many you want to try. We usually get 2 kinds pretty easily. They are the Cross Jellyfish (Mitrocoma cellularia) and the Red-Eye Medusa (Polyorchis penicillatus). We occasionally come across the Moo Jellies also.
-
Coldwater jellies are easy, stay small, and are plentiful I've been keeping a few in my system just to play around with.

The guys that are setting up the new Aquarium in Portland are looking for anyone willing to donate any tropical rock or unwanted animals to help get the tropical systems cycled. If anyone would like to help out please email them at TheOregonAquarium@gmail.com I also tossed out the idea of having them host one of the monthly club meetings to get everyone a behind the scenes tour of the facility either during construction or before they open to the public

I'm going to be upgrading our coldwater holding system soon and selling off most of the existing components. There is a large acrylic tank and stand I'll be getting rid of. Tank measures 66"x20"x36" hit me up if your interested, it'll be like $300.

ODFW made quite sure that wouldn't happen Thats why I want to know more specifically where it was found, since we can only collect within certain GPS coordinates laid out in our permits. -
