    Zoos!!!

    Wow! I love it! (drooler)
  2. Yeah that's a sweet one. I have a feeling I'll be leaving you place with a light wallet. :-)
  3. Yeah I've been using them to my advantage right now thanks to my wide open rock. Let's me place them and find something ideal. Thanks for the tips
  4. What does everyone do with the golf tees that frags come on. Do you snip the spike off and glue the base to your rock? Use the spike to wedge into the rock and not use glue? Same goes for frag disks I guess. How does everyone handle their new frags? thanks!
  5. Awesome thanks! I'll take Ausi Blue sapphire acro (1 frag of) Lumpy blue polyp monti (1 frag of) Are you fragging a blueberry acro anytime soon? I see Impur recently got one from you , so if you have one of those I'd take that as well. If not, no problemo. I'll be in touch the weekend after Easter - I can swing by then. Thanks!
  6. I'd love a frag of the sapphire and maybe the lumpy blue one too. But I won't be able to take them until mid April - would you mind fragging them and holding them for me?
  7. Yeah as soon as he sees me coming to the tank, he bolts to his den. I mean, come on dude! I feed you! :-)
  8. So this was a surprise this morning, I look and these two dudes are nestled up in the same burrow. I thought that they paired with Pistol shrimp - didn't realize it didn't matter what kind of shrimp. Now if only I could get them to move to a different zip code in the tank - they're hanging out in the back :(
  9. I've determined that I need to pick up a new set of bulbs - the color difference is enough to annoy me The ballasts are identical. The bulbs are the same temp, and I believe the same brand.
  10. OK i Did the bulb switch, and while still slightly green that one bulb is looking better. I guess I should invest in replacements earlier than anticipated. Oh well.
  11. I know that I will likely attend! My tank will be dying for some frags by then.
  12. ok thanks - I'll post my results tomorrow.
  13. each bulb has its own ballast. I'll try that out tomorrow when it's time to put them on. Thanks! Could this be a problem with the power supply?
  14. He set the tank up last September, then took it down in December. I set the tank up a couple weeks ago and just started turning these on for a little bit each day - grand total of maybe 20 hours of my tmie. I'd take a picture, but my battery is dead.
  15. One of my MH lights seems to be very green when compared to the nice bright white of the other. Is this a sign of the bulb starting to die? I picked the tank and setup used from a guy - so it likely could be in need of replacements. Any tips?
  16. I didn't bother reading all 8 pages (just read a few), but I wanted to tell what I want from the club. First and foremost I want it to be a resource where I can post stupid questions as a new reefer, and get honest insightful, helpful answers. The hobby can be overwhelming initially, and having people who've gone through it all before who can share their fumbles and successes is the best thing the club can offer. Some workshops might be cool - like for a guy like me who is very new, I know that I'll be terrified the first time I try to frag a coral. Workshops on this would be very helpful for example. I also look forward to the swapping that I'll eventually be able to do. Speakers - while sure some may find them interesting, personally I don't think I'd do it. My plate in life is quite full already, and honestly sometimes having an obligation to go out to a speaker wouldn't be that high on my priority list. Now, make it something like that coral farmers market, where a speaker makes an appearance, then sure I'll check that out. But a dedicated speaker night? Probably not.
  17. I was reading Reef Central all the time and wondering why I never saw anyone from this area on there (at least, that I saw). Then I think by chance a I saw a post that pointed to this site, and boom! Here I was :-) I even plan on paying some dues here shortly once I get my act in gear!
  18. Hmm, I like the sounds of that! But my tank is still too new I think, so it might be better suited for someone else at this point.
  19. I'd love to take this off your hands...my tank is nearly cycled (ammonia 0, Nitrite <0.1 and dropping)... would this be too soon? Edit: You know what - scratch my interest. I need to wait.
