New hardwood floors, cherry cabinets, granite countertops. rock fireplace, new siding, roofing, windows, electrical, plumbing, furnace, carpet, tile, doors gutters, jacuzzi, shower, toilets, sheetrock etc.. It has been a long process but it is finally coming to the end. Looks great! can't wait to move back in.

  15. The mystery wrasse we have has been living with 5 cleaner shrimp, 2 coralbanded shrimp, and three fire shrimp for many many moons. He has not touched the shrimp or crabs. Very healthy, gets along with everybody. Eats like a champ.
  16. All the mystery wrasses we have got in (over 10 of them in the last year,) have been extremely healthy. We get our fish directly from the diver. we get our choice before any wholesalers in L.A. or anywhere else get to choose. I have no problem ordering these fish in. I have never had one die on me. come get it out of the bag for a smoking deal, or come wait and watch it eat. -Nick
  17. I have alot of used reflectors lying around the shop. Cheap!! Give me a call if you're intersted. Nick
  18. We are currently building some nano tanks with built in filter using these skimmers. They will be 24" x 20" x 20". I have one of these skimmers at home that works great. These little nano tanks are going to be sweet!!
  19. I have had one in my reef tank for over a year, never bothered any inverts, other fish, or clams. He ate like a pig and grew too big for my tank. This is a picture of him from last year. Sorry about the bad quality it was with my cell phone.
  20. Twitter, Unfortunately, there are significant problems with nuclear power plants: Mining and purifying uranium has not, historically, been a very clean process. Improperly functioning nuclear power plants can create big problems. The Chernobyl disaster is a good recent example. Chernobyl was poorly designed and improperly operated, but it dramatically shows the worst-case scenario. Chernobyl scattered tons of radioactive dust into the atmosphere. Spent fuel from nuclear power plants is toxic for centuries, and, as yet, there is no safe, permanent storage facility for it. Transporting nuclear fuel to and from plants poses some risk, although to date, the safety record in the United States has been good. These problems have largely derailed the creation of new nuclear power plants in the United States. Society seems to have decided that the risks outweigh the rewards. Nuclear power is a terrible idea until someone can find a safe disposal methood for the nuclear waste. These reactors produce electricity, but they also give off carbon-14, tritium, and plutonium -239. Carbon-14 has a radioactive half-life of 5730 years, and tritium has a half-life of 12.3 years. These reactors do not give off carbon-dioxide gases, but they certainly cannot be designated as “clean” or “green.” The spent fuel from nuclear reactors is extremely radioactive and dangerous to all living things. It contains some 200 deadly radioactive elements as byproducts of the fission process, such as uranium, cesium, strontium, and iodine. They are radioactive for thousands and thousands of years, for longer than recorded human history. The half-life of Plutonium-239 is 24,390 years, and for Plutonium-242 the half-life is 387,000 years. Currently, much of these wastes are stored on site near reactors, in pools of water for cooling, and some older wastes in dry storage. Over the last 60 years some 225 million tonnes have been accumulated in the world, some 34,000 tonnes in Canada alone.
  21. I have quite a few chunks also left over. once again, what sizes are you looking for?
  22. close the gate valve till the water is about 2/3 of the tube, adjust the air and let it "break in." my ev-240 pulls out some thick sludge. I have a mag-drive 18 running on mine.
  23. I agree with Jeffp, I never let anybody ship corals or livestock to me that is within driving time of Portland. We have had too many mishaps with shipping, wrong facility, etc... We had a huge box of corals shipped from 30 miles away ups. The box had a leak and ups threw it in the garbage. It took them 12 hours to find the box and pull it from the dumpster.
