  1. Sump setup... Hope to upgrade the PM skimmer to something that recirculates soon and I have yet to add the calcium reactor
  2. No he seems to move around quite a bit after the lights go out... I am thinking it is some species of flatworm..but none of the books we have here even list a flatworm like that.... I wish those zoo's were mine..but alas...they are for sale here at the shop

  4. He seems to be eating only deutritis...thats what his tentacle keeps picking up... but I'll try a holy water bath...that may work
  5. I'll do my best tonight..I'll have to do some tricky stuff with photoshop and maybe try to clean it up... its a very detailed image..maybe the actual photo could be zoomed in quite a bit. The flatworm thing sounds about right to me..but I have never heard of one that can extend a tentacle to that extreme of a length... and apparantley it must be immortal because i was sure I killed it a short time ago..but its back..and I am positive its not very happy with me.... so this may be my last post... LOL
  6. K... Email sent... working on this whole photobucket thing ty for the info!
  7. If I do get one..which will be quite a while from now.. I'll glady share it with our "regulars"
  8. Can someone help identify this? I suppose the pictures are too big to upload to the site..but if you are really interested in seeing something that may possibly be unidentified in the hobby shoot me an Email! its kinda worth it IMO The good fella's at RC identified it as an Echiuran worm...pretty darned cool to me
  9. if I do.. it will be in a long time! Got some expensive lights to pay for LOL but seriously..if I get one.. I will have no problem letting "regulars" borrow it..
  10. In my constant pursuit of knowledge I plan to order this thingie www.ogles.info its an Ogles mesoscope... it will help me identify things like this evil sea monster http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v484/five5six/seamonster.jpg
  11. Dont forget that if you are a member let us know... and dont be suprised if I ask you a question about something... had to do it the other day... No shame in learnin' right?
  12. Well I upgraded that 29 gallon pseudo sump to a brand new custom one from advanced plastics... We got seven more of them at the store... some with refugiums and some without... They are choice! I am finally able to turn my return pump all the way up and get some decent flow..everything seems so much happier!
  13. I really appreciate the welcome... You seem like a totally radical kinda guy! Thanks so much for the Frags.. They were just beautiful! Once again..thanks so much for this website..I plan to become a paying member real soon..
  14. I was thinking more along the lines of future SPS plans... I am excited about monti's..I'm kinda crazy about this green one we have in the store..it may be pretty common..but it has a totally neato shape... My water parameters are all pretty good..but my tank is only a couple of days old..so I gotta couple of months to wait before I put anything choice in there... I'll stick with my leather obsession for a while... "dont take that wrong fella's LOL"
  15. That is one sweet lookin' setup!
  16. Howdy folks.. Brian Fox.. "foxy" to all my friends I work at CRPC with Sully.. I used to be quite the reefer.... but moving killed my tank..and I just didnt have the funds to start one up again. So a few months ago I started a 29g FW planted tank and had great luck with that..started a new job.. and just HAD to get back into it! Details are in the members tank section New Daddy.. my boy is just a little over six weeks old.. his name is Brody..and he is doomed with Red hair and Blue eyes just like his goofy lookin' dad. I just hope his ears dont grow out like mine did.. Hope to meet ya all real soon.
  17. Howdy folks.. I just switched from a 29 gallon planted freshwater tank to a 72g AGA bow front Reef tank. My current setup is kinda on the meager side... hope to make it alot better soon! lighting: PFO "professional" series housing with 2x 250 watt 20,000k XM halides... 2x 48" Actinic VHO bulbs. Its just a short version of the setup we use in the shop Mechanical stuff: Sump..well its my old 29 gallon tank..its a serious pain to work with..so I will be upgrading tonight to a custom sump/refugium with a Gen X 4100 return pump,im unable to really crank that thing up due to the tubing I have on the drain pipe...its soft and really reduces the flow. Inside the sump with be a Precision Marine Skimmer..which I hope to upgrade for a recirculating one soon..make and model yet to be determined... Precision Marine Calcium Reactor... and a media reactor..I think..not totally sure yet.. I am also using an old Ebo Jaeger 300watt heater which I will upgrade soon..With the Halides on for 12 hours a day my tank remains at a nice 77 degrees..probably due to the fact that I have a giant air conditioner right next to the lights and balast, hope that isnt a bad thing (scratch) I have about a hundred 'some pounds of live sand... not nearly enough live rock..and some zoo's. Pretty sad. But i wanna be darned picky about the stuff I put in there... So what ya'all think.. think some SPS would do alright in there? As I said in my first post..I work at Coral Reef Pet Center with Sully... I'm no guru....and am still learning lots and lots of new stuff everyday.. so if you get a little frustrated with me..remember that I am still learning and eventually I'll get it all down..well..not all..but ya know what I mean
  18. Hi folks.. Im Brian I've been lurking here for a few weeks but I havent really had much to add. I may have met some of you at Coral Reef Pet Center... hope to meet more of ya soon. I used to be quite the reef-a-holic several years back.. things have changed so much! I just made the switch from a 29g Fresh planted tank to a 72 Reef. "more details in the members section". I work at C.R.P.C. with Sully... I am relearning everything I once knew and adding tons more knowledge... everything takes time..so if I see ya in the shop and I dont know what that "pink coral with the blue tips" is or how much everything costs...just remember that I am a once and future reefer and a true hobbyist.. just give me a little time. Im not the "guru" that I think I should be..and that kinda bothers me... but i am gonna keep reading and browsing the forums until I am able to give everyone 100% good advice and really know what I am selling them.. Thanks B Foxy
