  1. The random Petco guy turned out to be Ron Popeil from our very own board.. Classy guy in every way! Hope to chill with ya at the shop on your lunch breaks! Just watch the traffic on lancaster.. I'd hate to see such a smart guy become a hood ornament on some Honda!
  2. its totally healed over..and I decided to spare the little guys life... I had the butter and garlic all ready for a little cleaner shrimp bbq!... Oh well.. maybe next PNWMAS bbq I'll bring a side dish..LOL(whistle)

  5. It was a good deal..lol..but those were our "brownouts" We should be getting some much better stuff soon..
  6. So I was arranging stuff in my tank last night..when my cleaner shrimp decided to "clean" my arm..it was really cute..so I let him do it for a while...then I noticed I was bleeding all over inside my tank... Now my arm is infected. Am I going to die?

  9. Some fella came into the shop today from a Petco..he said it was a "colonial" I havent done the research..but he said he has seen them alot
  10. I was amazed..it has grown in the matter of days..its abou four inches across by three inches tall..it was on the bottom side of a mushroom rock

  13. All of our corals are under 6' PFO Professional series hoods with 3x 400 watt 20,000K XM MH's and two Actinic VHO bulbs

  16. Also, I am running a 4100 model and its as quiet as a mouse...check and clean your impeller..that might quiet it down. Are you using yor suction cups? They seem to reduce noise dramaticially
  17. I am currently using one...I got mine from Pacific coast.. We also use them on all of our tanks at the shop! They are very good! I have absolutley no complaints whatsoever. I plan on upgrading to an RPS-1000 tomorrow or the next day...if I can figure out how to plumb it in right.... I trust my entire tank to that setup.
  18. I'm not quite sure the camera will pick up that coral... It'll just show up as this Miami vice hot pink bright spot on the film! Dont laugh... its kinda lame for a "professional"

  20. Bragging would be saying that my tank hasnt reached over 76 degrees with the lights directly on top of the tank...LOL The one guy who wanted that one was pissed by the way... I blamed it on you
  21. I am not sure if this is a new idea or just something I came up with.. I was having alot of trouble with microbubbles..so I placed my return pump into a filter bag..and voila...no more microbubbles... like I said..this might be a tired old idea..but it worked for me.
  22. I'll have a pic up sometime tomorrow... My water paramters are perfect! i am sooo happy! Ammonia 0 nitrite 0 nitrate <0 Phos. <0 Ca approx 430... Everything is working out so well.. I have had an average of 3 polyps per zooanthid colony growth this week..
  23. Thanks for the info! I thought it had something to do with the sponges or something..but that makes way more sense! Dont forget you gotta frag that piece for us! I think Jason is still kickin himself for selling it!
  24. I think its a 29 gallon... well..that would be the total amount of water....but I dont really know what level to keep the water at yet..
