  1. I have came to the realization that Long Spined Urchins "see devil urchin spawning video" seem to really only like to eat the most expensive zoanthids... so therefore.. if they werent so darned sharp I'd probably use them as a hackey sack.. J/K of course.. but I know I'll never ever order one again.
  2. Wish I could have been there.. what a horrible day it must have been HAVING to go to the beach.. Gosh.. cant think of anything worse.. but I honestly had to work.. Chief and Spayne can attest to that. hopefully next time.
  3. Thats my plan..along with alot more flow. Gotta get on buying some more live rock first...
  4. If you purchase good live rock.. i.e out of the LFS's actual display tanks you shouldn't have any problems. Hitchhikers come with the package..its just the way it goes.. sometimes you gotta get a little creative to deal with 'em though. As far as the six line goes, I've yet to have any sort of problem picking on any other fish.. other small wrasses excluded.. B Foxy
  5. I wonder what sort of deal that guy made with the devil to get a ric like that. So thats a no. I have never ever ever seen a Ric anywhere near that radical.
  6. Just wanted to let everyone know publicly that CCR is a radical kinda fella... He brought me in two Acro pieces and a yellow seriatopora frag today... He actually got dressed..got in his car.. spent all that money on gas and came into the store just to bring me a gift.. what a nice guy! Thanks alot blaine.. Friends help ya move..Great friends help ya move bodies.. LOL
  7. No matter how well you tape the backing up on the tank it will ALWAYS get salt creep inbetween the glass and blue/black backing. go to store. buy cheapest black spraypaint. Clean back of tank. paint back of glass tank. Dont paint the tank in an enclosed space.. Voila
  8. I'll be there at noon today.. I'm sure he is still in there... just sleepin'
  9. ooh daddy... I'll be good LOL! I havent seen your wrasse all day.. is that one known for sleeping under the sand like the yellow tailed fella we got? What monti did you like?
  10. Here it is folks.. I call this the "devil Urchin" due to its toxic spines and pentagram shaped white spots. http://smg.photobucket.com/albums/v484/five5six/?action=view&current=DSCN0697.flv
  11. Also talk to Ron Popeil I think he is our local clownfish guru...
  12. I still gotta decent piece of it..and then I whipped that russian with some air tubing today in the parking lot... I finally got to see a tear in his eye LOL
  13. How ya diggin' that wicked brain coral? I am pretty jealous of that piece! Always cool havin' you fella's stop by! When we gonna get some pictures of your setup?
  14. The only problem with the ones that you posted were that they were wood... I think. So I would definately lean towards the ones that travis has.. i.e. plastic... besides they are shorter.
  15. If I had the cash I would run a reactor.. hey cccp can I borrow some cash? LOL
  16. Count me in for the Golf Tee's! I'll probably grab two sets.. I.E. 400 tee's this should be a fun thread... so many good ideas so far!
  17. Howdy Folks.. For the sake of discussion I wanna know how each of you frag corals.. This includes SPS, LPS, Softies, Leathers and everything in between. I wanna know what has personally worked for you..what methods of propogation and what tools you use... I think it would be great if you would list what kind of glue/mounting material you use to attatch said cuttings or frags. I think this would be a good running thread for everyone. For SPS I use a craftsman wire cutter and I just picked up a real nice pair of surgical clippers from Upscales "thanks fella's".. That is if I cant just bust 'em off LPS depending on the species I use the break off method..just use my fingers and if that doesnt work I'll revert to the wire cutter.. Always seems to get the job done with excellent results Leathers I use a standard razor blade..if I cant get that to cut through I'll use some basic scissors that I picked up at walmart for a buck.. I always attatch my cuttings to "rubble rocks" that we keep in our zoanthid/mushroom tanks. I hope to start using Golf Tees soon..but its kind of a pain to find plastic ones.. Everyone has become so environmentally friendly..LOL. Seriously if you guys know of a good place to get some plastic ones let me know. Your thoughts and opinions will be valued by all members... 18. I was making coffee at Petco when I flipped on the tv just in time to see the second plane hit. I never did finish making that pot of coffee.... Its amazing how much that day changed my life...

  20. I would have bought the stand before I actually filled the tank up and began stocking it... now that is going to be a pain to fix.
