  1. Couple more days until the big tank move. Nervous yet?(scary) Don't worry. It'll all be fine:D
  2. Send him a PM. His place is by appointment. He is very good about making time for folks to shop.
  3. Upgraded to HQI's, so these need to go. Custom sea life 4x 96 watt pc retro setup. comes with 2-2 x 96 CSL ballasts, 12 feet of power cable with quick disconnects and endcaps, 2 daylight and 2 actinic bulbs(no idea on bulb life), reflector and clips. I'm putting them on CL for $100, but I'll sell them to anyone here for $75 B
  4. I'll take the green slimer and an orange digi. Give me a call to make pickup arrangements. B
  5. Looking good Brian. Can't wait to see it full of water.
  6. What a difference a day makes. I traded my 12 gal aquapod for a coralife pro 2 x 150 hqi retrofit kit with 2 x 96 watt actinics and 4 x 1 watt moonlights. Unreal:eek: It looks like a different tank. Had to do a bit of tweaking to the reflector to get it to fit. Brian and I are going to cut the canopy later in the week to give me access to the tank without removing the canopy. But for now it sure looks good. Just wanted to share. B
  7. Hey Steph. Welcome to the party(clap) We'll get you up to speed in no time. B
  8. Hey all. I have an idea to make my canopy much more user friendly. As of now I have to remove it to do anything other than feed(flame) I have what I think is a way to fix it, but it involves cutting the face of the canopy(scary). I would feel better if someone that actually knows what they are doing was standing there to stop me before I royally screw something up. I can build stuff that works, it's just not always pretty. This needs to look decent. If anyone would be willing to babysit me while I attempt this, I'd greatly appreciate it. If not, I'm sure I can muddle through it. Thanks, B
  9. Are you still looking for a nano? My 12 gal is empty now. Swap for the 175's? Disregard. I didn't hear back from you and found an HQI retro kit I was able to trade the nano for locally. Good luck with the sales!
  10. Well, today was the big day. Everything from the 12 gallon was moved to the 55.(clap) Newfisher and bswe22 came and sat on empty salt buckets and coached while I juggled liverock.(they did offer to help, though:D) A few hours later, and the corals are open and fish are looking fine. I couldn't be much more pleased with how the rock turned out. Sorry for the bad pics. My wife took the nice camera with her to Chicago.
  11. I have a coralife hang on skimmer and pump I was going to run in my sump, but it doesn't fit after all. I also have a prism deluxe skimmer. I'd sell either for $35.
  12. 36-1/4 inches long, 12-5/8 deep, and 23-3/4 tall.
  13. I bought Kmillers fish only setup, only to realize when I got it home that I don't have enough space to use it for the monster fuge I had planned. Always measure first kidsDOH! So now It's back on the market, all scrubbed clean and ready to go. 45 gallon glass aquarium with glass top. Comes with a coralife light fixture with 2x96 watt power compact lamps (one daylight-one actinic) and the hinged legs that attach to the tank. Also a coralife protein skimmer rated for a 65 gallon tank (and rio pump to drive it) and an extra powerhead(small hagen I think). I also have about a quarter bucket of used, but well rinsed sand and about a third of a bucket of small cc/sand mix(also rinsed well). I'd like to get $120 for all of it. I'll part it out too. $40 for the tank and lid, $70 for the light, and $35 for the skimmer
  14. I can't wait to see the finished product. That starfire glass is unreal:eek: Are spectators invited?? I'd love to watch that thing being assembled. Not to threadjack, but Nyles... long time no see buddy:D
  15. Well, I have finally feel like I have made enough progress to post about this thing. I have been spending every bit of extra time and energy and cash into getting this system running. Played a bit of musical tanks along the way (LONG story), but I feel like most of the hard stuff is out of the way. 55 gal All-Glass tank with corner overflow and All Glass wet dry with bioballs removed. Stealth 200 watt heater. Iwaki return pump plumbed through a Via Aqua cc-50 chiller on the way back to the display. Lighting is custom sealife 4x96 watt pc's (just until I find a good deal on some retrofit 2x250 watt halides(plotting)). I need to find a decent stand alone skimmer, and I'll be done plumbing for a while. I actually purchased Kmillers 45 gallon intending on turning it into a monster skimmer chamber and refugium, but realized after bringing it home we really don't have room for a tank that large next to the display without having to be fairly cramped at the dinner table. That would not go over well(wife) So it'll be back in the classified section tonight(laugh) Tank has tested as though it is cycled for almost a week now (ammonia 0 nitrite 0 nitrate under 5 ppm PH 8.1). A couple of days ago I decided to "test the water" and added a couple of hermits and a couple of snails from the nano. They have been cruising around and doing their jobs since then, so I added 6 more of each this afternoon. I don't plan on putting anything other than 20-30 more lbs of liverock and maybe a few more janitors in the tank until I can get a skimmer. I really need to give major thanks to Newfisher! Without his constant help and enthusiasm(and truck), I don't think I could have gotten this thing together and running. I owe you big time, John. Thank you! Anyway, I know the drill.....(worthless) I'll get some pics up tomorrow Bobby
  16. I have a yellow watchman goby, a small clown and a firefish in the 12 gal, and only feed 2-3 times a week
  17. I am completely speechless. I have met so many unbelievably kind and giving people through this hobby, to see this type of behavior from someone in the community shocks and saddens me me. I'm with reefnjunkie. Make it hurt just to think about ever stealing again(enforcer)
  18. Prices lowered on tank and light. Everything else is sold. Light is sold. just the tank/stand left. B
  19. I just set up my new tank with sand from Katz tank. I tested for ammonia yesterday, and it was at the top of the scale. My question is should I put some live rock in, or wait till this thing settles down. My guess is to wait, but I wanted to see what you all think. Thanks, B
  20. Hey all, I picked up Ryan's tank last week, and ended up buying another complete system on Saturday(better equipped and matches our dining room furniture better), So now I have a bunch of extra stuff that needs to get out of my garage soon. everything has been taken apart and cleaned very well. I'll take $150 for all of it, or I'll part it out. Prices listed below. 55 gallon tank/stand black trimmed 48'' long x17'' tall x 15.5 front to back. Tank is in ok shape. There are some scratches, but I think a lot will go away with water in it.The stand needs repaired. The floor and bottom trim need to be removed and replaced . Doesn't look like it will be too tough. Or the tank would make an awesome sump/refugium(rock2) SOLD Coralife 4 ft T-5 fixture. 2 4 ft bulbs(1 daylight 1 actinic) comes with an extra actinic bulb. excellent condition. SOLD Eshopps 300 gph overflow box, great shape. SOLD Wet-dry. Not sure of manufacturer. Well made and in great shape. Bulkhead fitting and ball valve installed. Almost exactly the same size as the All-glass brand wet-dry I have on the other tank, and it's rated for a 55 gal tank. I have the bio-balls for it too if someone wants em SOLD Korilia 1050 gph powerhead. Excellent shape. SOLD I think that's it. I tried to post pics, but can't seem to get it to work. I'll keep trying. B
