  2. Didn't realize until this morning that my powder blue tang is starving. He has stopped eating. Caught him and put him in quarantine. No sign of illness and color is good. Added some garlic to mysis and brine shrimp but he won't eat.
  3. Ok, I've owned my Reefer 450 for two years now. I love this tank! There's only one problem with the Reefer tanks - the overflow valve. I have spent 2 years constantly adjusting the overflow valve so it's quiet and not too high or too low. I've tried a different return pump and learned to make only the slightest adjustments - literally tiny changes. But, every day or two the overflow started to make too much noise. Well----- While exploring some pluming mod options, I decided to change the overflow valve to a Spear gate valve. It's been almost a week now and only ONE slight adjustment. If you have a Reefer tank and experience problems adjusting the overflow valve, GIVE THIS A TRY!

  6. Hello. I've had this system set up 2 years now. Thought I would share some pics. Not trying to gloat, just share. The pink lemonade pictured has been popular locally.
  7. Holly, just a word of thanks. You have a great setup and the frags look awesome. Wish we had more time. Shawn and Shelly

  17. Ok, I was able to successfully prune my Pink Lemonade mother colony (pictured below). It's grown to the point where it is shadowning corals below. I have for sale a large (approx 8"x6") colony for sale. I wish the picture was better, but I had just pruned it and my lights are on the blue side. $140.00 cash. Must pickup in Tualatin. Mother colony a while back - Large Frag for sale:
  18. So glad to hear. Thanks for the update!
  19. My pink lemonade continues to do well and us shadowing other Corals below. How do I Prune a piece that is so woven together like this?
  20. Thanks for the input. I think I want to use an extension cord, rather than installing boxes and using #12 wire. If the entire tank pulls less than 1000 watts, so I really need 20 amp wire? I realize the generator is rated at 2000 watts, but I'll use 1/2 that.
