If anyone has an air meter that's coming over bring it by so I can test this new skimmer out and get it tuned.

It's a nice build quality and impressive design. We'll see if it beats my dual beckett. I have my doubts but if it works it will be a nice power saver. I don't think there is one thing I don't like about the design. I would consider these skimmers on the list of "what skimmer should I get" for the person that has some knowledge about skimmers. Not sure I would give it to a new reefer since it has no support other than the people on RC and we all know how that is sometimes. What else you want for $550.

I haven't had a chance to open up the pumps and get them trued up but here are some pics of the skimmer. Love the design of this skimmer. When I get some time I'll get it fine tuned.

You Southern reefers are more than welcome to stop by and see how us Northern guys reef and drink.

Put the final finishing touches on the brew day, had to get wife's approval you know how it is. It's all set for May 4th brewing and reefing. I'm sending out PM's for those in the thread that have said they are interested.

Yep Marine Solutions... It appears I was one of the only first batch of 8 skimmers shipped to the US. The price already went up on the skimmers so I got a good deal.

Delivery date changed to Monday the 21st.... What's up with that?

I'm planning on setting up a Beer Making gathering cause it seems a few people might be interested. Anyone that is interested in learning how to make beer or just come and watch and gab let me know. We almost killed the deadguy clone this weekend, it is so good. Took a while to age but now it is great.

markdadof2 - you brew all grain or extract on that wheat? I've been looking for a good all grain house wheat recipe

jay - the beer is Very Good and it is not heavy at all. You can make any kind of beer you like. I usually have a range of beers to try and now that its getting spring/summer the beers are on the light crisp drinkable type. If people are interested we can put on a little beer making class and sample some beers I've made at the same time.

On the pocilopora put it in lower light towards the bottom and it will turn green. It doesn't like high light. That coral will surprise you and all of a sudden it will start growing for a couple weeks and stop then start up again. Keep the params stable and if the color is good don't touch it and it will start to take off. It won't encrust very much but should put on a couple heads soon. send a pic and that will help me a little more.

I didn't know they made one either. I'm not sure anyone has actually got one except beta. They don't even know the dimensions yet. I was wanting something just like the 250 just a tad bigger and then today I was looking at the MS site and they had the 300 listed for pre order and I had to pull the trigger. It seemed to good to be true at least to me. Seriously a pretty good deal for a couple of top notch pumps with mesh and a 12" body with bubble plate. I've been impressed with the reeflo, atb's, ati, etc... but didn't want to drop the big money they want. Hopefully it all works out.

I hope so. If the pumps really are 14w and get the gunk out that will be a huge improvement for me power wise.

I just ordered a new MSX300 skimmer for my tank. I have been out of it for a while but the tank has made it through my lazyness and I want to try out this skimmer head to head with my Dual Beckett. I'll post pics when I get it.

I had a coralvue 20k crack on me and it bleached the corals below the crack I think this was due to the escaping uv.

I would replace it.

Exact same thing happened to me. Replace the bulb Jay.
