  1. the safest thing to do right now is smaller more frequent water changes with purified water and a good salt mix you could even do small daily water changes like 5gal if you wanted until your problem resolves.
  2. another coral vendor would be fine as I deal or trade with most anyways just would need to keep from looking in each others tanks so we could sell lol but if there was a drygood dealer that wanted to share as well that would be fine.
  3. not sure if I missed it but how old is your system this will have allot to do with how it exports nutrients and if it is over stocked at a young age it may be tough to get things ware you want it until the tank matures.
  4. double that I've had them jump through egg crate if theres a hole they can fit through they will find it.
  5. my duaghters 4 and its a Jalli rimless 5gal with a dual 24watt power compact light and it has a small prism-like protien skimmer that hangs on the back. updated shot 9-28-10
  6. need to get at least 4 to 5 Heliacus variegatus(sun dail snail) to help rid my display of protopalys willing to pay the shipping and whatever else to get them as long as reasonable as most throw these guys away. http://www.google.com/url?sa=t&source=web&cd=5&ved=0CCMQFjAE&url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.melevsreef.com%2Fid%2Fsundial_snail.html&ei=Dj2iTMmcNZS8sQOG5pRl&usg=AFQjCNFQumiMgp2fmnbgGGg3sIpIqrCIqw

  13. lol yea I have a few morphs and somtimes they creep over hope it wasnt a problem guess I will have to post some pics.
  14. My thought on this would be on a system without fish and just corals in a grow out system just to see if you could get more growth and I know our jobs as normal hobbyists is to replicate mother nature as much as we can but when it comes to aquaculture you need to test the boundary's sometime just like folks in horticulture growing plants out of dirt and so on.
  15. thanks for the replys somthing I was just thinking about may have to setup a experimental area and try it.
  16. whats your thoughts good or bad?
  17. you lose some of your buffering capacity by using the black sand so keep that in mind as far as Ph/alk maintenance.
  18. having a feeling because of your situation you need to keep to yourself and be modest as most folks get jealous as was well described in there posts be it if they were trying to be funny as I think they were, you may be a little over sensitive due to your situation but there are tons of great folks here but there are a few I would like to flog and they know who they are lol but stick around as they weed themselves out lol.And welcome again!!!!!!!!
