Michael7979
Lots of people do......... just grab some the next time you are in a LFS it is what they use.
CA2OR
From what I was told you cannot use regular superglue, I am under the impression that regular superglue has some kind of chemical in it that the other glue's sold at LFS's do not have. I could be wrong, but this is my understanding.
JasonH
Just pick it up at any LFS and you'll know that you have the right stuff. That's what I do.

steelhead77
It is the same super glue that RC model airplane builders use. CA (Cyano Acrylate) is what it is called. Just plain ol' super glue. You can use gel or thin. I think gel works better.
R-3
Yeah I use the gel stuff. Gel works a lot better. 3 tubes for $1 at the Dollar Store.
salty419
good to know thats what i got so now i can glue away thanks R-
markdadof2
I use the cheap gel from the dollar store as well...last time I bought it it came in a new package, but it is the same stuff that R-3 posted above. I still hate gluing the dang things - it is a nightmare for me. Nothing ever seems to stay in place!

I have used both and find that the epoxy works better for almost all of the frags. The only time I like to use the SG is when I am gluing a frag to a plug. If it is going on a rock then tr to use epoxy.
markdadof2
Scott, what epoxy do you use? I have not wanted to try epoxy as I was concerned the it may not be reef safe.
salty419
i'd like to give epoxy a shot if it works that much better what kind and how is it to work with?
spectra
I have used the stuff that is green with a white center. Plus also the stuff you get at HD not sure what the name is. But now am using the stuff from D&D. Bought my first batch from Waves then the second from Upscales as Waves was out. I will not use anything else after the D&D stuff. The great thing about it is that it is purple so it looks like coraline and works great. It may cost a little more but in our hobby who can complain(laugh)
andy
I use Aqua-Mend epoxy. HD carries it. They also have the gel CA in big multi-packs
spectra
I use Aqua-Mend epoxy. HD carries it. They also have the gel CA in big multi-packs Thats the stuff from HD:D But the only thing is it does not turn purple(sad) I just like the D&D stuff as it just blends in to the tank and looks like it was meant to be there. I am using it to glue a few pcs of rock together in my new system.

mrgreenthumb
I use good old super glue and 2 part epoxy, depending on the size of whatever it is I am gluing down.
USCG CWO
I use super glue gel in the blue tube or the green with a white center epoxy. With the gel I typically have to use a lot of it to break the surface tension to get the frags to stick under water, and to make sure my bulldoser of a turbo snail doesn't knock stuff around. spectra
Yeah SG works great if you are gluing it ot of the water. If under the water use epoxy. I always have to use extra when SG under water as it gels once the water hits it.
markdadof2
I have invented new words when using the SG underwater...some might think it is entertaining to watch me. It can be very frustrating for me.

blown65
SG gel works pretty good underwater. Watched Jody do it a few times. The epoxy is ok, but the SG Gel is much better IMO.
markdadof2
Usually they are spoken under my breath as my youngest is normally by my side working on the tank with me. She usually gets a kick when Daddy superglues his fingers together. Oh, I got in a bit of trouble once for supergluing the dog :( the dog is interested in the tank as well and he always stands under me as I put glue on the frags...a few drops landed on his back. I'm a bit more careful now. (sorry dear wife, I'll not superglue the doggy again)!
