  1. Missing Reef Tech in Medford Or. 625 E Jackson St Ste C Medford, Oregon 97504
  2. lol, ya I know. Just wasn't in much of a hurry. The bearings are still fine after the year.
  3. LOL, I know its a year ago, but I never did post on RC or put them on ebay. 110.00 each shipped.
  4. Makes sense since pretty much every package we ever get thru Fedex is trashed. Always love the delivery guys answer of "Its not packaged correctly" UPS has always done pretty good for us.
  5. Sorry, havent cleaned it yet but here is a picture.
  6. older model, Ill get a picture once I clean it some. Just dirty, no cracks or anything like that. Just replaced the pump about a month ago with a Sicce 2500. I have two different needle wheels for it. I believe I have the orig pump also somewhere that was still somewhat working but was pulling high wattage. Probably just needed cleaning but replaced it anyways. Just too small either way for my 300+ gallon setup. 120.00 bucks shipped which is basically the price of the pump and the extra needle-wheel impeller.
  7. Best skimmer I've ever owned, in just the few days owning it it definitely pulls lots of GUNK!
  8. Just installed a SRO-5000 external on my 300 gallon and definitely impressed with it. I was way under sized skimmer wise with my old NW200 with the Sicce pump. Would of went with the new XP 5000 skimmer but it was too tall by about 1/2". :(
  9. I've done it with problem stuff, but I did it more of a liquid form, not a paste. You can also use lemon juice, makes it easier since its already made and ready to go. Just dont go crazy trying to do the whole tank at once.
  10. That would be the lightest semi truck ever. LOL My 300 gallon is on my second floor, had a 400 gallon prior. However I have multiple support walls directly underneath. I wouldn't put something like that in the middle of the room with nothing under it.
  11. I can't remember where I got the two of mine, but this is the brand and model I'm using. No issues. http://salestores.com/gemsou09.html Gem Sound SP-8500
  12. I have quite a bit of in on my 300 gallon, no issues. I don't remember it really smelling all that bad, probably just was out in the heat I'd assume.
  13. I have three of the dual ones in my tank. They all three work fine, had some problems with the suction cups sometimes coming off but I glued one of the suctions cups to the coraline in my tank and has been holding fine now. The three I have seem to always start the right way and I have yet to clean them. Completely quiet too. I have a dual korilia and it hates to start in the right direction, go figure. Probably needs cleaned.
  14. Its very easy to test it BTW. Since we sell residential systems of all types, I've tested a couple different Carbon filters and they both leach PO4. I keep meaning to test the bulk Carbon we get.
  15. Blue LEDs on now. VHO Actinics are running also but they do nothing compared to the LEDs. Kinda hard to get a real accurate picture of it, but they really really glow. Especially the Acans and rics. BTW, they put the new 24" model up on the site now.
  16. That's why I'm only doing the one for now. Its a good place to test how they react. However there are guys on Reefcentral with great colors and that's after 2 yrs of having them in use.
  17. Left side is where the LED is, the rest is lit right now with 2 250W DE Phoenix 14k's. Its quite a bit brighter on the left side where the LED's are. Sorry for the Dirty tank, looks pretty dim but its sunny here and pretty bright. I set the camera pretty close to what it actually looks like right now. Closer view of right where the LED is. Ill get a picture later tonight with just the blues on.
  18. http://www.ecorayled.com/Ecoray60/Ecoray_60.html The local store down here. http://www.reef-tech.net/catalog_i12920186.html?catId=377961 They have a 24" model coming out, hopefully I'll have the info on it soon.
  19. Old post but I'm working on changing my 300 gallon to all LED now. Just purchased a Ecoray 60D, pretty impressive little unit. Pros, pretty bright, its much more directional than some of the other LED units out. I think thats why its so much brighter. Its easily 2x as bright as my 250W DE halides, its just you need two of them to cover roughly the same area. The blues when they come on before the whites are pretty impressive. Cons, your going to need quite a few. Really Ill be able to get away with 7 of them total. 8 would probably be more ideal but 7 is going to work out fine. Only reason I have to go with so many is to get the same coverage. My tanks 8' long though but the overflows are on each end. Gotta save up my pennies so I can get the rest of them. For now I'm going to run just the 1 I have. Zero heat too. Big benefit.
  20. My drinking water R/O is about 5-6 post with about 300-400 in. (on a well, it will vary) Membrane is 8 yrs old. Fish tank setup is same in, about 5-10 out then 0 out of the DI. Pretty new membrane right now. Haven't checked post RO for a while.
  21. The phosphate from the store is probably from the post Carbon filter. All residential R/O systems use a post filter using carbon and most leach phosphates back in. Either buy your own R/O DI setup, or get a small pump and DI filter so you can polish it off at home.
  22. I think I'd invest in a small generator also, if anything to keep just the tank going. You can buy little 1500 watt generators for pretty [language filter] cheap. This seems like a pretty good price for 3200 watts Costco Generator Harbor Freight one
  23. Restrict the discharge, not the intake. Causing cavitation on the intake is no benifit, and will cause noise and additional wear on the impeller.
