defigart
Because its a pair and a relatively rare species, I dont believe its a typo. This species is only found in a couple of places. They are difficult to get to.
reef-fisher
HA! for 6grand I would rather have something other than a couple clowns, even if they are rare(nutty)
MadReefer
It's not a typo. I think there is only one place they come from and it is protected. There is one overseas breeder. Some people like rare things. So if you bought them and could successfully breed them I think you could make a lot of money.
ThePremiumAquarium
Very rare clowns. They are only found on a small section of reef off of a single island in the great barrier reef. I cannot remember the name of the island, but I remember reading about them in a thread on reef central. I believe it was in the photography or scuba section. Very unique and rare clowns plus they look awesome. And no, in my opinion, $6k is not worth it but for someone who lives for breeding clowns like this, I could see that it might be well worth it for them. Michael7979
Well everyday roughly 100 people visit these forums. So $6000.00 divided by 100 visitors breaks down to everyone pitching in $60.00 DOH!DOH!DOH!

They are not even that great looking in the picture. I hope they are better looking in real life. dsoz

CA2OR
I would have to agree with having Dave do the honors. We should just refer to him as Nemo from now on. He is the clownfish god.(icon)
blaster_works
if anyone is intrested i beleieve this is where they came from. a few pics fyi i am also starting to raise clowns in washougal. here is a link http://www.marinebreeder.org/phpbb/viewtopic.php?t=
snowpunk
(scratch)(plotting)This would be a really good idea, kinda crazy, but it could work. We would have to see what Dave thinks though. I wonder if it would be something he would even want to try. I bet there are some aquariums that would love to get there hands on a few for there tanks also. I know a few here have said they were in if it actually happened. I would be too, if we can get it to $60-$100 each. We would all have to remember this is less of an investment and more like a gamble. It may payoff and it may not. I hope Dave chimes in soon(whistle)
Barelycuda
Thanks for the thought Scott. The price is correct. Look around though. People are paying alot more than that for glorified goldfish Dave
