Hog Head
I have a Reef Octopus SRO XP-5000 EXT and the cone has an area that has a crack/hazing. The skimmer is in my pantry and is never exposed to any harsh light or bumping. Any idea what could be causing this? Thanks

Could also be what you're cleaning it with. Vinegar can be pretty harsh, also most skimmers they recommend a soft sponge.
cjmdh
Ethanol, methanol, and even some isopropyl alcohol, if it is not pure, will cause acrylic to craze/crack.
Hog Head
I clean it with water and paper towels. Was mentioned that hot water can cause it which I have used a few times.

Yea, I don’t use any of those either.
