Holly
I'm looking for opinions here - should I get a sterlizier or an ozonizer? (scratch)
reefgeek84
Ozone, if you want to take the time to set it up correctly, I.E. being able to run the out put of the UV water through carbon. If not, then just run a UV.
siskiou
Same opinion here. I'm still trying to figure out how to run both the air and water output through the carbon, and where to find a truly ozone safe check valve. My first one broke in half within a couple of weeks. Holly
I already use carbon in the sump, so running the ozone water through it prob wouldn't be too big of an issue. I'm considering the UltraLife ozonizer, but I wasn't sure if this was the best option. Are UV or ozone gonna kill all the copepods in my tank? I have a scooter and two mandarins. pledosophy
No experience with ozone, but I love my UV's. UV's at typical flow rates will not have an impact on copepods as it is not strong enough to kill them.
