I would recommend buying one. On ur new system it’s going to come in handy. Maybe a 57 watt aqua or even larger. Definitely worth the investment on ur new huge tank.

You're exactly right. Definitely looking to secure a real large unit... Just gotta add it to the ever growing list of new equipment items I need. It'll work it's way up the list eventually, [emoji1][emoji1]

Geeklet has been kind enough to gift me a 36 watt unit. It's a pretty generous offer! That will get me through this little bacterial bloom.

I think it's all stemming from the decaying organic matter located in the pipework. When I took the old tank offline, all the water in about 100 feet of PVC just basically sat there for a week and a half. Now that water is flowing again, it contains a bunch of organics. I flushed the pipes, but there's still some nasties left I'm sure.
