fishmanmike01
Sitting on the couch enjoying our morning cup of coffee my wife and I noticed our pair of black domino clowns behaving oddly. I have a large monte plate that they normally sleep under, this morning we notice they are vigorously picking at the rock and twitching while rubbing against each other. Is this mating behavior? Are they prepping to lay a clutch? Edited November 1, 2015 by fishmanmike01
badxgillen
Oh yeah, sounds like they are going to get frisky, might see some eggs under the ledge soon and some territorial behavior.

fishmanmike01
So just in the past few days I've noticed one of the pair is FAT! I mean SUPER PHAT! Pregnant? How long do they carry eggs? This is my first mating pair of clowns so I'm new to this.

TheClark
Too funny, mine are laying eggs right now, driving the hammer nuts mouthing it... So cool that we get to see them spawn, too bad it is so much work to raise them
Mandinga
Hahaha, great music choice. Took me a minute, then hit me hard...you know when you are singing along, but not really thinking about the words, then bam. yeah well done. fishmanmike01
So I awake this morning to the female back to her normal size yet I am not able to locate a clutch anywhere in the tank, nor are they hanging around any one specific area as I would expect them to. What are the odds the wrasses would pick em off as soon as they were layed?
