danlu_gt
I'm so happy my clowns lay their first batch of eggs. How many days will it take for the eggs to hatch? What's the easiest way to rear the babies? Here's a pic of the eggs... hard to get a good photo: http://www.flickr.com/photos/danlu/
JManrow
Congratulations Danlu! Great pics! Incubation is 6 to 7 days. Here is a link that should be helpful. "FIELD GUIDE TO ANEMONE FISHES AND THEIR HOST SEA ANEMONES" (Online Book) http://www.nhm.ku.edu/inverts/ebooks/intro.html Some recommended books are: Anemone Fishes and their host anemones by D. Fautin & G. Allen. Conditioning, Spawning and Rearing of Fish with a emphasis on Marine Clownfish by Frank H. Hoff. Clownfishes by Joyce D. Wilkerson. (This book seems to be the most popular.) Clownfishes by Stratto. The Super Simple Guide to Clownfishes by Skomal. There are a few members that are currently raising clowns (Barelycuda, Ron Popeil, Elmo18). I'm sure they will be posting soon. We have live phytoplankton cultures(Nannochloropsis) and rotifer cultures going in various locations. Please post your location (city or town) so we can give you some starter cultures!

dsoz
Way cool! What type of clowns? How long have you had them? Do you plan on raising the young? Good luck! dsoz
danlu_gt
I think they are false percula clowns and I had them for about 5 years. Anyone near Hillsboro have some cultured phytoplankton and rotifer that can help me start?
