WingRider62
So I picked up a used Apex yesterday (thanks Frankb) with a new PH probe. I assume the probe needs to be calibrated? It is brand new and still has the end cap with some kind of fluid in it. Is there a special fluid I need? Is it something I can get locally? Thanks. Exodus
Well we don't have any local Apex dealers but I'm sure standard pH calibration fluid will work, if you want the recommended solution you can obtain it from Marine Depot. also here is a good video on calibration procedure:
Saltwater newbie
Upscales has calibration fluid.
Blue Z Reef
OIAB carries it as well. I bought some bottles of it off amazon for pretty cheap.
WingRider62
Thanks for the options, I was hoping someone in the Salem area had some, but looks like I might have to venture North this weekend.

Check with Garret to see what he has if anything, if not we have a few Grow supply stores in the area and one right behind garrets shop as a matter of fact, As you know they have some similarities with our hobby you might want to call them and see if it's something they stock. I would personally look for the highest pH calibration solution as possible as it's more beneficial to calibrate it in the range you will be using it. Garrett, doesnt have the 7 and 10, but looks like I may need to go to Tualatin anyway, and Upscales has them.
