Cor4eyh
So I was cleaning the tank yesterday and didn't realize until I was finished that I have a clownfish missing. So of course after all the cleaning I dug around the entire tank top to bottom display to sump with no sign of any body or fish of any kind. I checked around the tank thought maybe he was a jumper and to no avail. Have any of you had a disappearing clown? I'm pretty bummed about it. Blackice
I have had more then a few fish up and disappear. I like to think that they made the great escape to the big blue beyond.
Guest Bevo5
How big is the tank? I've been surprised on a few occasions by how a fish can hide under a rock or somewhere seemingly impossible. I thought I lost a wrasse for a few days until I finally spotted one night. I also had a clown fish get himself stuck in a rock and had to help get him out. I bet he turns up - especially if he's only been missing for a day.
Derbird
Don't forget to check your filter sock. I don't know how but they can get down there
Cor4eyh
It's 50 gallon cube tank, I checked the sump I'm not running a filter sock right now. Guess I'll dismantle the tank again poop! I hope he's just stuck in some rocks
Guest Bevo5
How long has it been since you saw him? He might have just gotten freaked out during the cleaning yesterday and is chilling somewhere. Maybe give him another bit of time? Try dropping some food in...
Cor4eyh
It's been less than 30 hours. I fed him day before yesterday and then yesterday is when I noticed. But I've fed the tank and no sign!

Higher Thinking
Depending on how restricted your ball/gate valve is, he may still be in the tubing, stuck at the valve. Although that would likely cause your system to back fill and use the emergency drain, so who knows? I'd open it up all the way to at least know for sure. Cor4eyh
I actually don't have a ball valve on the drain. And no emergency backup overflow so I would be SOL. But still no sign of him it's been 2 days :( guess I have to buy a new one! Gosh it sucks when fish you like die or become really good friends with Houdini
