timmylucas
Anyone have tips and tricks on how to do a good water change on a smaller tank? Im used to doing a water change on a bigger setup. I was thinking of getting or making a small siphon so I can clean the sand and all. Please share your water change techniques
Bombertech
1/4" Poly tubing works well for siphoning nanos.
SeanS
What do you mean by nano? My 30 cube has a sump, so I just turn off the skimmer and return, and use a mj with some tubing to pump 4 gallons from sump to bucket, then bucket to sump. It takes all of 5 minutes. When I clean the sand I just stir up the bed, then change filter socks when the water clears. Easy peasy

Jack-the-reefer
When my 12g had sand, I would take a chop stuck and stir it up really well, then change a few gallons.
