Jack-the-reefer
Because of the unusual dimensions on the 12g long tank, I've had a tough time getting the flow pattern just right. It's either sand blowing everywhere, or lots of dead spots. So I decided to go bare bottom instead. I've just been sucking out sand with water changes over the past few weeks. Here it is almost done. I just need to move the rocks on the left side and clean what's under them. Plan is to replace the two small powerheads with one wp10. I'm hoping if I put it low in the tank and let it blast across the bottom it will keep things from settling... hope for the best!
matty
Sounds like a good plan, tank is looking good.
Mandinga
Jack, I'm pretty sure there are some ladies in the crowd(probably some dudes too) who were disappointed with the pictures you put up! Tank looks good. With that light of bio load, things should be just fine.

Siebo
I actually like the look of the sand just under the rocks on the left!
Jack-the-reefer
I kind of liked it that way too. There's no chance it would stay in place one I change the powerhead though.
