Lowman
I'm still in the cycling process, it seems to be going nicely. Look at this cool algae that is growing on my rock. It is not hair algae, but it looks really nice swaying in the water. It will probably take over soon, but one tang should take care of that. andy
Hermit crabs will mow through the purple stuff...
Lowman
What is weird about the green stuff is that it has only taken it less than a week to grow like this. I'm sure it's not hair algae.
impur
I think its called tang heaven. I had it everywhere, covered the back glass, side glass, and was working on the front. It grew on all my rocks. Once i added my desjardini tang it was gone in about 3 weeks.

impur
NP I wouldn't worry about it. The tang will certainly love it. BTW how about a FTS??

reefhut
Looks good Bob..Where do you put it? I see all that brick in the background. Did your better half move you to the basement? LOL
impur
Sweet, love the aquascape!
Lowman
Hey Shannon, I removed the woodstove from the den and that is where the new tank went. Miles, thanks. I'm not usually much of an aquascaper, so that's why I got that one huge piece.
albertareef
Hey Bob, the new tank looks sharp - I like the lighting and it looks good with the brick backdrop. Glad to see the new project is coming along. I will try and get some pics of the 120 up soon.
Lowman
Thanks Sean. I'm really eager to see how your tank came out. I'm sure it looks great.

izzypop
Real Nice Bob. And that rock is just insane. You should mod it and put a bird perch on your tek light
andy
Definitely looking good! What are the tank dimensions?
Lowman
Shawn, my bird is too much in love with the tank I think he'd go for a swim if I let him. The dimensions of the tank are: 36" long 24" tall 18" deep I thought I'd hate it after the 120, but I actually like it better
180Brandy
I like your tank green algae and all. So what kinds of corals, fish are you planning on adding to your new tank?
Lowman
I'm going to keep smaller fish, like gobies and blennies, maybe a purple tang, another Potter's Angel, and a really colorful wrasse. Coral wise, I'm just going to keep some of the harder to find LPS, lords, blastos, colorful soft coral, and a clam. Plus neat inverts I see along the way.
