PowderBlue
Looking to have a rimless 90 gallon cube built. Not sure what the dimensions are. Probably could figure it out on google but I'm being lazy anyone have a tank built locally? If so experience with who you used. Price? Turn around time etc. alterego told me about a guy on the forums but I forgot the name! Also what's your opinion on the best dimensions for a 90 cube? NoobtoSalt
Charles(wannareef) is the way to go. He helped Reefnjunkie build his tank. Looks amazing. Really I'm sure Charles did all the work and brad just watched..(whistle) Sent from my DROID RAZR using Tapatalk

And those are just the ones I know off the top of my head cause I built all the stands for them. Speaking of such if you would like a steel stand for it give me a yell I will whip one up for you. Sounds good! Once I get the lighting for it I Have pretty much everything I need, going to flip my 40b into the sump for it so it's just waiting on lights, and the go ahead for a other build from my better half lol
ocboat
Wannareef just finished my 125 gallon cube (36x36x22) with external overflow. It's still has the paper covering it but it looks nice from what I have seen.
PowderBlue
Maybe I should do a 125 would you think a 36 inch 6 bulb t5 be enough lighting for it or no?
NoobtoSalt
Maybe I should do a 125 would you think a 36 inch 6 bulb t5 be enough lighting for it or no? Depends on the type of corals involved Sent from my DROID RAZR using Tapatalk
PowderBlue
I've got an open brain, mushrooms, zoas, plate coral, frogspawn, orange chalice, I am not going to do sps, just not my thing. With these as the corals do you think it's adequate lighting? Or should I add another fixture? 2 bulb, 4 bulb?
NoobtoSalt
You will likely have some dark spots in the tank but it might actually be a good thing with your chalices and brains anyways. I would try it out and decide from there. an 8 bulb Tek light would probably be the best for that demension IMO if you don't want to move to LED's. SPS wasn't my thing for a few years either but it's kind of a nice change now.
SteveHash-fish20
I agree with noob I'd go 8bulb. I've been looking at upgrades myself (kinda early) as my recent take is cycling but I wanted to do a 30x30x24 might go shorter even wouldnt be exactly a cube. Still nice tank
kriz2fer
You might want to try sps down the road so its a good idea to Plan ahead and get the 8 bulb. IMO this hobby just isn't fun if I'm not keeping sps.
PowderBlue
Thanks guys! Im sure down the road I'll do sps but right now it's just not on the books. If I don't have to buy a new light it will allow me to build the tank sooner so that's why I'm asking. Oh and Parker the leaf hasn't eaten yet!!! SteveHash-fish20
How long have you had him now? He's still fine as mine for 3weeks didn't eat! But after then it was either die or live and he chose to live lol, I just think he's not used to being captive I hope he adjusts!
PowderBlue
About two weeks. I think he very well could of eaten my Benny. He's been MIA since about 5 days ago. But I noticed it gone the day after I added my eel, lol so it's a toss up who ate him
SteveHash-fish20
Lol yeah my roomy had a snowflake eat a perty big clown. And I know eels HATE anything that looks like them (body shape) blennys, gobys, etc
SteveHash-fish20
Leaf fish stomach swell when they eat, so it would be swollen, if you really want him to eat go pick up some ghost shrimp and fresh water feeder fish, isolate him and throw both in at the same time, see which he is more susceptible to eat and interested in if he focuses on. The. Just go from there I know mine likes fish and does not eat any crustaceans I also notice mine loves anything living that he can't eat. He loves being a companion lol slept next to my filefish all the time, and a blue legged hermit he just hangs out with him. Lol
