J-Dog
I got this green digi frag a couple of months ago and noticed this dark thing on it. The thing was a lot smaller when I got the frag, but it has grown larger as the frag grows. I tried to remove it before I put the frag in, but it was really hard and would not come off. If anyone has an idea of what it could be (scratch), please let me know.....
impur
I don't see a dark thing? Can you get a better pic?
J-Dog
I don't see a dark thing? Can you get a better pic? That's the best picture I could get. If u look at the center of the green digi where it's starting to branch up, there is a black strip below the branching.

ThePremiumAquarium
Looks like it could possibly be a sponge variety though it is hard to tell with the pic posted.
stylaster
could possibly be a barnacle, or mussel, check to see if you see any feathery appedages going in or out.

J-Dog
Well, I found out the thing attached to the coral was one of those tube worm things. Not sure what the scientific name is, but they spit out the long, silky, thread type stuff to catch food in the water. I don't think they are bad, but it looked ugly on that frag so I cut it off. Should be fine now....thanks for all the help again
