gmiller
Does anyone out there know if ich can be transfered to a tank if a coral from an infected tank is put into another tank?
dsoz
I do believe that the parasite egg/larva can live in the sand/rock for up to 4 weeks. This may even mean on frag plugs. But I am not an expert. dsoz
Palani
Yes, as part of the parasite's life cycle they fall off from the fish and enter the sand/substrate. This is where they start producing offspring and after a couple of weeks they release all of thier offspring into the water and infecting fish. SeanF
Yep this is the reason people need to quarantine their invertebrates also.
