stylaster
my guess is off of south africa, they have a large population of great whites that keep close to the shoreline

Emerald525
*cough* photoshop *cough* (cool picture' date=' though)[/quote'] LOL that's what I was thinking too. The surfer looks way to calm.
dsoz
I usually just start off a dive by warming my wetsuit... without the shark most of the time. There was the time that I encountered the shark while diving in Florida... But it was only a nurse shark. dsoz
Randy-S
Looks like a dolphin to me small dorsal fin and what appears to be a horizontal tail
Algae
Not Photoshopped, I believe. The reaction time is slow on a board because it is cumbersome. Originally listed as a shark, disputed by some. The streamlined body points to the possibility of a shark. Some sharks have a less pronounced dorsal fin. The tailfin is unclear. Dolphins will cruise waves such as these but so do sharks, occasionally. I have seen well documented photos of a surfer being attacked while riding a small wave. I did A LOT of surfing in the Red Triangle and sharks are a constant.
Randy-S
I should find the vid where two great whites both go after a surfer while he is on a wave and they both miss!! Amazing
