culp686
i need to ask a BIG favor of anyone that can help out. a friend of ours just bought the tank from robert and coz and started cleaning it as soon as we got it to his house. i left him there to clean while i ran home to drop off some corals. i got a call from him about an hour ago saying he had it clean and if i could come down and help him get it plumbed in. before i got there, a coulpe of his buddies went to put the tank on the stand and hit one of the bulkheads on the wall, putting a 2 foot long crack across the back of the tank. so the favor i need is, i have another 125g to replace it but i need it drilled. is there anyone that would feel comfortable enough to drill it? i have cash, can bring it to you, what ever you need let me know. he was REALLLLLY excited to get his tank up and running until an hour ago. now he looks like he is going to cry. thank you in advance. culp686
i think they are 1 1/2" bulkheads and there were 2 of them
culp686
ok. so i know for sure now that they are 1" bulkheads
Barelycuda
So with 1" bulkheads you need a 1-3/4" hole. I have a holesaw here if you want to bring the tank over I can drill it for you. I have drilled probably around 100 tanks. There is no guarantee but I am comfortable drilling it for you. Just confirm that it is 1-3/4" that you need. If I am not mistaken the schedule 80 bulkheads may be bigger but the standard ones are that size. It is the size I use for all the tanks in the clownhouse. ReeFit
Man that sucks big time. We can also drill holes. Another option is we would be willing to let him have a brand new tank at our cost to help out. Sorry he had to deal with such a crappy way to start his first saltwater tank. :(
