stylaster Posted December 16, 2010 Share Posted December 16, 2010 Anyone recommend a good acrylic cleaner that i can use on the outside of my tank? After running my cleaning magnet over i noticed a slight haze, i rubbed on it with my hand and it disappeared, then i tried water and a towel to try and get the rest and it didn't work well Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I have used the stuff myself and it works great! they have differnet levels and if all you have is some hazing and such I would go for a small bottle of #2 and a bottle of #1. We were using it 25 years ago on them when I was in the AF and I still use it on my tank now. Smann Posted December 17, 2010 Share Posted December 17, 2010 James from Envision only uses or reccomends Brillianize and lots of it, Spray it on your fiber cloths (no terri cloths), accidently in the tank wont hurt either. Keeps the surface lubricated when using magnets. He also makes his own soft white plastic scraper blade that fits into the Kent handle, they are long so you can run them thru the router to sharpen the edge, absolutly love mine. Without seeing it myself I cant be sure however he did state it was haziness and that he couldnt get it off with a little water and a towel. Heres a discription of #1 and 2 from Tap. Novus 1 • gently cleans all plastics without scratching. Leaves a lustrous shine that resists fogging, repels dust, and eliminates static. Novus 2 • removes fine scratches, haziness, and abrasions from most plastics. Use repeatedly and restore faded and discolored plastics. reef165 Posted December 17, 2010 Share Posted December 17, 2010 I just use towel with supper hot water, about as hot as I can stand to hold, and do a wax on wax off type thing with hot water rag in one hand and a dry one in the other.
