NoobtoSalt Posted October 7, 2010 Author Share Posted October 7, 2010 So reading about this type of bryposis it looks like since my Mag was so high just recently and it is starting to level out it could have started from that. This sucks. I just got my parameters back to normal and now I have a whole different problem. Thankfully it's only on this frag plug but still isn't cool that I might lose more corals yet again!!! Seemed to help pretty good. I know it sounds kind of dumb to not think of this but oh well..DOH! I guess I was more concerned if I was going to hurt the zoas if I just started pulling on it. They mimic eibli, halfblack and lemonpeel angels-whichever centropyge is most common. Used to have that horrid algae all over, have not had it in years. So I gave back the tang, it was mean! The scenario you described about your Mg lowering doesnt explain where the bryopsis came from, but it does explain why it is growing.
