Some New Pics---ATTN Spectra!

Took a few new pics of the tank. The pics are hard to adjust with all the blue light so, take it for what it's worth. You'll get the idea. I run kind of a unique light setup. I run 4 t5 bulbs which include: 2 ATI Blue Plus, 1 ATI True Actinic and 1 G-Mann True Actinic. No daylight. All corals in my tank grow like crazy and love this light.

Scott, wanted you to check out the growth on the Purple People Eaters. The population finely doubled! Got that new tank set up yet? Well anyways, on to the pics.

Also, a few pics of the new Warner Marine, H2 skimmer. Not totally impressed but time will tell. It's only been a couple weeks. Already have had the lid warp and not fit anymore. Not very happy about that. The skimmer is HUGE on my little 40gal tank and Im sure it's too much skimmer. It is rated for 80gal and IME, Warner does not over rate their skimmers. Should have got the H1 but after seeing the H2, the arrrrr arrrr arrrr, Tim the tool man Taylor attitude kicked in.(nutty) On to the pics!

Thanks guyz. They look a little fake but, I have no idea how to fix them. I try to white balance them but when I click on the white, everything turns red. I have a pic of my Chili Pepper Monti but, it looks so fake, Im embarassed. The green color is about right but, the polyps are not THAT red. Oh well, I will post it anyways for fun. Enjoy!

Very nice.

I am interested to know more about how you chose those lights, and why you think things grow so well in your tank without any daylight bulbs. I have 2x10k, 2x12k and 2xactinic and I hate the color. I assumed that I needed more of the low kelvin bulbs to get better growth, but most stuff grows very slow... Maybe I should put more actinic plus and aquablue bulbs in for better color??? Then at least I would be happy with what my corals look like.

Thanks everyone for the nice comments. Much appreciated.

I originally ran two blue plus and two aquablue specials. Then took out one ab special and added an actinic. Liked it so much, I took out the other ab special and added another actinic. The two actinic bulbs are "different" actinic. One peeks at 440 and the other at 460. I think there is a lot of par from the blue plus bulbs. Looking at the spectral graphs of each bulb though...not a lot in the 500-700 range. Lots of fluorescing going on though. I think all the softys I have grow better with less of the t-5 light. I think the t-5 fixtures kick out a ton of light since they "bathe" the coral in light. Unlike metal halide bulbs that cast a lot of shadows. I do however have a couple acro colonies growing as well as a couple monties. The acros are green slimer and yellow milli. They are growing back from where I broke them off about a year ago when I got rid of all my sps. They all seem to be doing just fine in this tank.
