jgf86123 Posted January 24, 2010 Share Posted January 24, 2010 Well, just to give everyone here on the board an update, PNWMAS members have engaged in a group buy/grow-out of several high end zoas. The zoos have currently been ordered, courtesy of Bay Corals, and should be on their way Wednesday for a Thursday delivery. This is one of the more spectacular and varied group buy/grow-outs that I've witnessed, as most do not have the selection of zoas that we have. Here is the list of zoos we ordered, with pics courtesy of Bay Corals: Captain America – 2 polyps Black Galaxy – 2 polyps Red Hornet – 1 polyp Darth Maul – 2 polyps Candy Apple Orange – 2 polyps Everlasting Gobstoppers – 2 polyps WOW Paly – 2 polyps Superman Zoa – 2 polyps Tyree Captain America Paly Darth Maul Superman Zoos Black Galaxy Paly WOW Paly Red Hornet There are 2 more zoos that currently Bay does not have pictures up on their website of, those are: Candy Apple Orange Everlasting Gobstoppers We should be attempting another one in a few months, depending on the growth rate and success of this current one. We are also considering attempting an SPS group buy of a high end sps frag, such a Purple Monster frag or something similar, and doing roughly the same thing. The people involved are really the ones who made this happen, without them, we would not be able to order or grow these out, so thanks again guys. So far, we've lost the candy apple oranges and the everlasting gobstoppers, the gobstoppers are being replaced, they ship out tomorrow going directly to Miles. The Candy Apple Oranges on the other hand, our supplier is out of them, but, is replacing them with a purple hornet frag and a pink zoa frag, as well as replacing the freebies we lost. We have growth already on the Red Hornets and the Captain America's, Grassi has the zoas he's going to be growing out in his tank, still waiting on Frank to pick his up and Miles's are being shipped to him directly from Bay Corals. Again, I can't say enough good things about Bay Corals, they have been a pure pleasure to deal with and I will be personally ordering from them in May. Thats all for now, we will be doing another one of these in 4-6 months, depending on how this one goes and how many people are interested. First up is Miles, we had our last shipment shipped directly to him, since he is one of our growers and it's just too much trouble to try and get them to him without shipping a second time. Miles currently has our purple hornets, everlasting gobstoppers, and pink zoas, along with 4 freebies that Bay corals included. You can see 4 of them in this pic And now on the Roy's pics, he needs to take some lessons in getting better pics, but, Roy currently has the majority of the zoas, grassi has a few, but hasnt posted updated pics, so we're just going with Mile's and Roy's stuff. here are some updated shots captain americas red hornet candy apple greens, superman, black galaxies We'll keep everyone updated as this goes on. And for all non-members, once this one has started really taking off, grow wise, we'll more than likely be organizing another one, again, for member's only, this grow-out cost 30 bucks to buy in, and you're going to be getting, well, if you had to buy all these yourself, you are looking at well over a grand, counting buying the freebies, so it's a helluva benefit for being a member if you ask me.
