Byrd
I was glueing a chalice frag to a plug and when prying it lose I felt a part of it break. It did not tear through the tissue but for sure is broken. Does anyone know if it is able to heal itself or am I best removing the piece. Lowman
in my experience, it is not a big problem, the coral will heal itself
Gumby
Just like Bob said it will be fine, I would keep it in low water flow until it heals. Sometimes it will pull some of the flesh off if you don't.
snowpunk
I have had this with 4 different chalices that I didn't want to frag at the time it happened. I flipped it over and glued where it broke. once it dried it was fine. One broke completely, flesh and all and I Glued it the same way. You couldn't tell which one it was after about 2 weeks.
